DH and I are expecting our first in February. We’ve both really loved the name [name_f]Odette[/name_f] for a girl for awhile. The Swan [name_u]Lake[/name_u]/ballet connection, the [name_m]French[/name_m] flair, the familiarity and old-fashioned nature of it despite its never having appeared on the social security register all really appeal to me. But I don’t know if I’m 100% sold which is why I’m soliciting some feedback.
[name_f]One[/name_f] major hiccup for me is that I almost feel it works better as a middle name as I’m having trouble finding middle names I think go well with it. We’d like to have two middle names. Our last name starts with an “M,” is two syllables and ends in an “-er.”
Feedback on the name in general? Ideas for middle name pairings?? All would be appreciated. Thanks!
My lovely fluffy bunny was called [name_f]Odette[/name_f] She was adorable. We called her Detty or Dets for short.

As for middle names I think longer syllable middles sound best with [name_f]Odette[/name_f]. After the longer first middle name, any syllable lengths sound ok. Examples:

I agree with other pp that [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is a beautiful combo, as are other combos like [name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Celestine[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] that have been suggested.

[name_f]Odette[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is long but our last name is pretty short so maybe it could work… Thanks again for the cheerleading and suggestions!
