I really like [name_m]Orlando[/name_m]. It has a strong sound, and seems like one of those names that will always be on trend. It was on our list for a while before my husband decided he likes [name_m]Roland[/name_m] more. I prefer [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], but sometimes think of [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], [name_f]Florida[/name_f].
From your list I really like:
[name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] (maybe too much “and” for some people, but I kind of like it)
[name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Caius[/name_m] (I’ve always liked [name_m]Caius[/name_m], but can’t sell it to my husband)
[name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Emrys[/name_m] (I think this is my favorite from your list)
@dovah- Thank you, I have thought about [name_m]Roland[/name_m] but it is not appealing to me like [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] is though. Since we live in NY I am not worried about the [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] FL connection. Thank you for mentioning the ones you like best! I love [name_m]Evander[/name_m], I know its not for everyone. And I just found [name_m]Caius[/name_m] which is growing on me.

[name_m]Orlando[/name_m] is one of my favorite [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] creations!! It’s such an unusual gem and not very many people use it for a first name (which I think is nonsense!)
[name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] has my 100% vote! It is utterly perfect!!
[name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Timotheus[/name_m]-[name_m]Timotheos[/name_m] - I like the idea of these middle names, but not convinced they flow well with [name_m]Orlando[/name_m].

Awesomness points: The Frankish military leader under Charlemagne! Really named [name_m]Roland[/name_m], but in the Italian Renaissance he was called [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], and there was written fantastic epic poems about him ([name_m]Orlando[/name_m] Innamorato by Boiardo and [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] Furioso by Ariosto). The book by [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] [name_m]Woolf[/name_m], it’s amazing and one of my favourites. [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] in [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m]'s As You Like It is pretty cool. And I kind of like [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] Bloom, [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean?
I like [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Valentin[/name_m], [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] Galahad and [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Emrys[/name_m]. [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] sounds repetitive to me. The others feel conflicting in sound and imagery to me.
alexandrathegreat- I agree, most people are turned off by it which I do not understand myself. Thanks for chiming in! You can never go wrong with [name_u]Elias[/name_u] [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
sansa_nanami- I appreciate the break down of each name! And your final suggestions are ones I happen to like as well. [name_m]Just[/name_m] ranking is different.
[name_m]Ott[/name_m]- I know you could! You understand [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] lol I find [name_m]Roland[/name_m] to not be as great as [name_m]Orlando[/name_m]. I love the imagery [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] gives off, [name_m]Roland[/name_m] seems to fall short. You can’t go wrong with [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] Bloom hes a hotty totty. I have not yet given up on Galahad. I love how you suggested that before. [name_m]Timotheus[/name_m] was to try and honor my bf’s step father who passed but its a lot of name. And [name_m]Allen[/name_m] as well but it takes the magic away. [name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Valentin[/name_m] is probably my favorite right now. It stand out to me most.
I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_m]Orlando[/name_m]! It was in my top 2 for a bit, and seems to have been forgotten about, but I’m suddenly remembering my love for it.
[name_m]Orlando[/name_m] [name_m]Caius[/name_m] is fantastic! I love [name_m]Caius[/name_m] too, so this combo is pretty spectacular, in my opinion.
[name_m]Valentin[/name_m] is a handsome & stunning middle name for [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], too.
I did a year of my undergrad with a guy named [name_m]Orlando[/name_m], so seeing it in use makes it seem very approachable.
