I’ve just recently fallen in love with the name [name_u]Poe[/name_u] after re-watching [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars, but I’m not sure if it’s too short or informal as a full first name. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it works on its own, or if not, any ideas for a full name that could be shortened to [name_u]Poe[/name_u]?
Haha I’ve been thinking of Star Wars names recently too! I think it works as a standalone name, especially since it is not an obvious nickname for another name.
I’m personally not a huge fan of the name Poe (though I love the character)… It makes me think of Po from Kung Fu Panda. I’ve been considering Posey for a girl instead though!
I like it!! It’s fun, reminds me of things like [name_u]Beau[/name_u]/[name_u]Bo[/name_u], [name_m]Joe[/name_m] and [name_u]Rex[/name_u] and it’s literary too!!
[name_u]Porter[/name_u], [name_m]Peter[/name_m], [name_m]Pablo[/name_m], and [name_u]Pascoe[/name_u] could be nn [name_u]Poe[/name_u] maybe?
To be honest I just think of the poet and then the word toe. It could be a nickname to any P name I think, especially [name_u]Poet[/name_u]. Or [name_m]Leopold[/name_m].
[name_u]Poe[/name_u] was the nickname for Pogue in the Covenant! I think it works cutely as a nickname, it definitely suited him, but I don’t think it’s substantial enough for a full first name.
