I’ve only ever known male Saschas – usually a nickname/diminutive of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], and all but one were of Russian descent (the one who wasn’t was [name_m]French[/name_m]-Canadian). Kind of like [name_u]Mischa[/name_u] for [name_u]Michael[/name_u]. I wouldn’t think of the name as feminine at all, but I also don’t know if I’d use it as a nickname for [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] (one of the names we’re considering for this next little guy) – not because it sounds feminine, but because our cultural backgrounds aren’t ones that would use this as a nickname. I do like it as either a nickname or first name, though, and I’m fairly certain that none of the Saschas I’ve met we’re teased.
