What does everyone think of then name [name_m]Talen[/name_m] for a boy? Pronounced like [name_m]Callen[/name_m] but with a T obviously.
We like names that aren’t common or too out there I think this might fit.
I would definitely pronounce it “[name_m]Talon[/name_m]” or “[name_u]Tay[/name_u]-[name_m]Len[/name_m]” unless it were spelled with two Ls. Pronounced the way you describe makes me think of tallow, as in candles.
I think first of a “talon” and then of “talent” without the -t ending. It’s fine, but I prefer [name_m]Callen[/name_m] - do you like [name_m]Soren[/name_m] or [name_m]Theron[/name_m]?

Wow, I was really tired when I commented on this thread last night…what I meant to say was the spelling [name_m]Talen[/name_m] makes me say “[name_u]Tay[/name_u]-[name_m]Len[/name_m]” and pronouncing the way you describe makes me think of the word talon or tallow, rather than other surname names like [name_m]Callen[/name_m]. I’d definitely just go with [name_m]Callen[/name_m], or else try another T name with a clearer pronunciation. [name_m]Theron[/name_m], as suggested above, or [name_u]Tristan[/name_u], Tullian, Taran, [name_m]Tarik[/name_m], [name_m]Tarquin[/name_m]…there are a ton of great T names for boys!
It doesn’t have to be a T name, but this about the only boy name the husband has said he might like. Oh gosh its just so hard.
I quite like it. [name_m]Callen[/name_m] is one of my favourites and I love T names. [name_m]Tallen[/name_m] would be my chosen spelling though

I actually like that it’s close to [name_m]Talon[/name_m] - it reminds me of hawks, and that’s good by me. However it still seems to be lacking something {substance?}. I also prefer [name_m]Callan[/name_m]. Have you considered [name_m]Phelan[/name_m] or [name_m]Quillan[/name_m]?
