Saw the name [name]Amoret[/name] the other day on Nameberry. Had never heard of it. I love it though. Would it sound classic or like a Yooneek name?
I, personally, love [name]Amoret[/name]. I think itâs beautiful and distinctive and warm. Many people have not heard it, that said, it doesnât sound yoonique or made up, it simply sounds unheard of. I may be biased though.
I looooove the name [name]Amoret[/name]. It doesnât sound at all âyooneekâ to me because I know where it comes from: [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Spenser[/name]'s The Faerie Queene. Iâm not sure if [name]Spenser[/name] made it up, but thatâs certainly a legitimate literary origin. To me it sounds classic.
Itâs from The Faerie [name]Queen[/name]. It means âlittle loveâ, as in someone little. [name]Amoret[/name] was the sister of Belphoebe, and she represents married love. Engaged to Scudamour, kidnapped by Busirane and saved by the female knight Britomart. The Faerie [name]Queen[/name] is a poem full of good names!
I think itâs an exquisite name.
I think it is lovely :-). It definitely doesnât have a âyooneekâ feeling to me.
