I adore the nickname [name_m]Dax[/name_m]! I’m just looking to see what other people think about it.
By the way, this is just going on my guilty pleasures list.

It sounds made up to me- but I know some people are cool with that [name_m]Just[/name_m] not a huge fan myself.
I don’t like it, lacks any soul, imo
Why not another name beginning with D? [name_f]Imo[/name_f] the nickname doesn’t have to be that close to the fn, if you establish the nickname early on it will stick
It’s nice, but I prefer the more legit [name_u]Dexter[/name_u].
[name_m]Dax[/name_m] is an amazing name all by itself, and it never gets any appreciation. I had [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] on my list for a brief moment a few years ago, but I realized that it was only because I felt like [name_m]Dax[/name_m] needed a “full name” when it doesn’t. Be bold! Let [name_m]Dax[/name_m] stand alone.
I like [name_m]Dax[/name_m] better as a full name.
I agree, I love [name_m]Dax[/name_m] as a stand-alone. I also love [name_m]David[/name_m] “[name_m]Dax[/name_m]”. [name_m]Daxton[/name_m] is okay but takes away part of the charm of [name_m]Dax[/name_m]. It changes the feel of the name.
I think the guilty pleasures list is a good spot for [name_m]Daxton[/name_m]!
I can’t imagine anyone wanting to be named [name_m]Daxton[/name_m].
But you could name a son something starting with a D and call him [name_m]Dax[/name_m].
@starrynightsparks - Same.
I like the name a lot. Our two boys have two syllable names that start with D and end in N. If we would have had a third boy, he would have been [name_m]Dalton[/name_m], [name_m]Daxton[/name_m], or [name_m]Dawson[/name_m]. I like the nickname too.
It sounds made up, but it still has a lot going for it. It has a nice sound and is easy read and pronounce.
I know a kid named [name_m]Daxton[/name_m], he’s probably 12 now. He was the coolest of toddlers and I imagine he still is.
I like the name [name_m]Dax[/name_m] and considering myself. However, I prefer it “short” for something but can’t come up with a longer name to use.
Um I love it. Cheeky as hell.
I love it and I have suggested it for a friend. I also love [name_u]Dayton[/name_u]!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Daxton[/name_m]! And [name_m]Dax[/name_m] is a great nick name. Kind of like a newer version of [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
What does this mean? [name_m]How[/name_m] do you decide which names have “soul” and which don’t?
I think it’s like jazz. Either you’re “feeling it” or you’re not. You know it when you hear it, and there’s not really much “deciding” about it.
