What do you think of the name [name_m]Field[/name_m] for a little boy?
What associations do you have? What would be be like?
THANK YOU!!
[name_f]ALison[/name_f]
Names like [name_m]Field[/name_m], [name_u]Lake[/name_u], [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] and [name_u]River[/name_u] don’t appeal to me as first names. [name_m]Fielder[/name_m] or [name_m]Fielding[/name_m] would be more interesting options than [name_m]Field[/name_m]. I’ve never met a [name_m]Field[/name_m] but the image it conjures up is that of a spunky and sporty boy who likes the great outdoors. Unless it has family significance, I would give it a pass.
I’m sorry but if I see the name [name_m]Field[/name_m] I just think of… well… a field. This association is much stronger than if I see, for example [name_m]Forest[/name_m] or [name_f]Meadow[/name_f].
I like the suggestion of [name_m]Fielder[/name_m] or [name_m]Fielding[/name_m].
Thank you for your feedback! For some reason the name doesnt make me think of a traditional “field” of grass, but I may be the only one…
If [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] works, why not [name_m]Field[/name_m]? I wouldn’t use it myself, but it would be interesting to meet a [name_m]Field[/name_m].
For me, this sentence is the reason it can’t be a name.
My son is named [name_m]Field[/name_m], so I love it, of course! Best name ever! (He’s 16 years old now.)
It’s just… not a name to me. All that comes to mind is a baseball field, the movie [name_m]Field[/name_m] of Dreams, and a large area of grass. It also rhymes with yield, shield, and peeled.
Definitely a stand out kind of name. I would never use it but, anything goes anymore. Conjures obvious field visuals, and baseball. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Forrest[/name_m]?
