What are your thoughts on the name Meika?

Is it pronounced my-kah?
I think it sounds really cute and I definitely find it usable!
I used to love the similar [name_f]Mieke[/name_f]

@emmievis I immediately thought of [name_f]Mieke[/name_f], too!

I’m not sure how I would pronounce this though. I’m not really a fan, sorry.

I have to agree that I don’t know how to pronounce it, and would want to say “may-kah”. I can also see it being said “[name_u]Micah[/name_u]” but always think of that as boy first.

I wouldn’t know initially whether to pronounce it Mee-ka or My-ka. But once I knew, I would remember! If you want to make pronunciation clearer you could use a more familiar spelling – either [name_u]Mika[/name_u] or [name_u]Mica[/name_u].

I’ve never heard the name before.

I know the name [name_f]Mieke[/name_f] because my friend is married to one.

I like [name_f]Mieke[/name_f] and [name_m]Heike[/name_m], not enough to use them, but I still like them.

Meika spelled that way does not appeal to me much.

I would prefer the spelling [name_u]Mika[/name_u], I absolutely love the name!
