I’ve been watching the show “The Whispers” on abc and on it there’s a little girl named Minx. The show actually has a lot of awesome names like [name_f]Lena[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. But anyways yeah do you think Minx is too out there or kinda cool?
I wouldn’t recommend using it. Minx is slang for a woman who’s very flirty and sexy, making it inappropriate for a little girl and silly on a grown woman.
I think it would be a cute name for a cat.
I agree that its sexual undertones make it somewhat uncomfortable for a girl/woman of any age. Possibly a cute nickname.
It’s saucy.
Nope. Too sexy/seducting/saucy.
I wouldn’t use it. It definitely has inappropriate connotations.
I think it’s much too sexy for a person, but it would be great on a cat!
Here is the definition:

[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_m]Thatcher[/name_m]. “Of course you did, you saucy minx.”
I watch the show too, and I agree that there are lots of characters with cool names ([name_u]Harper[/name_u] has been growing on me ever since the show started). Minx is kind of cool, but I’d have to agree with others that Minx is probably too out there. I like the suggestion of using it as a nickname, though.
An emphatic ‘no’ as a given name. It might work well on the screen for a fictional person, but this would be very inappropriate for an actual little girl and uncomfortable - not to mention unprofessional - for a grown woman. Like naming her Vixen. If you like it, find a name that could conceivably lead to Minx as a nickname. [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], [name_f]Marina[/name_f], or [name_f]Mina[/name_f], maybe.
I love it…personally, I do not relate it to any awful “[name_f]Lolita[/name_f]” baggage…it just sounds sparkly, hip and fun…however, if you are bothered by how other people interpret the name, it might be good as a middle or nn option instead.
I agree with roseymaam it’s very saucy! I kinda like it tho, maybe as a nickname.
It’s pretty much the same as naming your daughter [name_m]Cougar[/name_m].
Sounds like the cat breed Manx, hence it gives me the impression that its more of an animal than a person’s name.
Great name for a pet. Inappropriate for a child.
