I know that many people strongly dislike this name, and at first I did as well. I keep hearing the name and honestly, it has really grown on me. I don’t think I would ever use it, it’s maybe a little too out there but I do think its an interesting name. Thoughts?
I’ve never heard it! I think I quite like the sound but not how it’s spelt. [name_f]Novalie[/name_f] sits better with me… Although it looks like a brand of soap.
I think Novalee and [name_f]Novalie[/name_f] are adorable! It’s a spunky, fun sounding name, very playful, but so sweet at the same time!! I adore it, actually, but can never settle on a spelling. I think it’s lovely though.
It’s not a very attractive name- it reminds me of the word novelty. 
Not my style but a very cute name! I think the [name_f]Novalie[/name_f] spelling is a bit better. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nn [name_f]Nova[/name_f]!
I used to love this when I first made a nameberry account, but I kind of forced myself to get over it because it doesn’t really fit my style.
Still, I really like its cute and unique sound!

I love it! I’m sad it’s a smosh name, but so cute! If it wasn’t a smosh name, it’d be on my list. I echo the sentiments of pp’s, saying it’s lovable but doesn’t fit my style. That style of name is not generally gonna find a lot of love on here.
I don’t like it at all. I like the sound of [name_f]Nova[/name_f] but I’m not a fan of naming someone after a TV show. I love [name_f]Neva[/name_f], which is similar. Novalee reminds me of [name_f]Natalie[/name_f], and I don’t like [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] either. [name_m]Even[/name_m] Nolee is better.
Reminds me of the movie Where The Heart Is, Where Novalee Nation, a pregnant teen (played by [name_f]Natalie[/name_f] Portman) gets abandoned by her boyfriend and gives birth in a Walmart. (Names the baby [name_m]Americus[/name_m]…) worth a watch if you like Novalee.
Oh heavens no. Why add another tryndee name to the lexicon? [name_m]Way[/name_m] NMS. Prefer [name_f]Nova[/name_f].

This. When I first saw the movie, years ago, I thought the name sounded cute, but now I think it is very cute-sy and I know far too many [name_f]Nova[/name_f]'s for this to sound good to me 
It looks like a made up name and sounds like the name of some type of company or a brand. [name_f]Nova[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] or [name_f]Nova[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u] as a first name/middle name is much more preferable [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. I can only imagine it on a girl up to the age of 4 or 5.
