Thoughts on the name Poet

Okay so I’m so curious to hear others’ opinions on this name…now I would ever use [name_u]Poet[/name_u] but it’s such a GP of mine. I’ve kind of fallen in love with the combo [name_u]Poet[/name_u] Romlliy. What is your impression of this name? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s actually usable?

Poet is really pretty! I think it is usable and I like [name_u]Poe[/name_u] as a nickname!

It seems in line with many word names becoming popular. That sounds cool!

I love [name_u]Poet[/name_u] :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: and with the nickname [name_u]Poe[/name_u]! It’s quite gorgeous, gives me a soft dainty vibe tbh!

I prefer [name_f]Poem[/name_f]. I think the sound is softer/warmer, and it feels less restrictive as a name for a child. A [name_u]Poet[/name_u] might feel some pressure to be a poet, or at least to be poetical, but [name_f]Poem[/name_f] is more of an honor name. Does that make sense?

If you like the sharp T sound, my favorite name in this family is [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f].

Poet is my favorite word name, but I’m not sure if its usable in the first name spot, but easy to pull off in the middle. [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] is gorgeous, as is [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] [name_u]Poet[/name_u].

Beautiful! Only usable as a middle name for me! I’ve been thinking of [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] for myself!

I like [name_u]Poet[/name_u] a lot! I prefer [name_f]Poem[/name_f], though, because a lot of historical poets have been… tragic and weird. I think I like the flow of [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] [name_u]Poet[/name_u] better than [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u], too!

Poet is beautiful! I think it’s perfectly usable as a first in my opinion, now that word names are getting more and more popular. [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] (I’m assuming you meant [name_u]Romilly[/name_u]?) is a gorgeous combo, it flows so nicely!!

Poet [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] is so whimsical and lovely

I really like [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] it’s really whimsical and sweet. But I do prefer [name_f]Poem[/name_f] to [name_u]Poet[/name_u] I just think [name_f]Poem[/name_f] like @QuirkFlower said feels warmer/softer sound wise more inviting.

I think it’s delightful! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite variation is [name_f]Poesy[/name_f], an archaic word for [name_f]Poetry[/name_f]. I reckon [name_u]Poet[/name_u] is definitely usable. [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] isn’t really my style, but I do think it’s lovely - I love its sense of whimsy!

I know a girl named [name_u]Poet[/name_u], so I think it’s 100% usable! I love the names [name_u]Poet[/name_u] and [name_u]Romilly[/name_u], but I’m not feeling them together. The flow seems off to me.

I absolutely love it!! Had it on my list but it got vetoed by my husbend☹️

I’m not a fan of [name_u]Poet[/name_u]. I could just see the kid being made fun of so easily for that name.

Poet [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] does flow well together, but I’m not a fan still.

I really like it which is surprising because it’s different from my usual name taste but there is something so gorgeously whimsical about it. And the combination of [name_u]Poet[/name_u] [name_u]Romilly[/name_u] is amazing!
