I’m not expecting, just want opinions of these name combinations. Would love to know possible nicknames, alternative spelling, or variations of any of them. Please be nice!
You have such lovely taste! [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: I really love this name. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is a little gentler, and more unique, than its counterpart, [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is elegant, sweet, and evocative, and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is classic and one of the most beautiful flower names ever. Nicknames: [name_f]Em[/name_f], [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f]. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]: I think this is my favorite name on your list! [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is one of the most beautiful, elegant, and mature classics out there, as is [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. I adore this variation on it, with the gentle “s.” Nicknames: [name_f]Flo[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Lori[/name_f], [name_u]Rene[/name_u]. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]: I love all of these vintage names! [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] has long been a favorite of mine, as has the ever-distinguished beauty [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Nicknames: [name_f]Addy[/name_f], [name_u]Allie[/name_u], [name_f]Lina[/name_f], [name_f]Della[/name_f], [name_f]Ada[/name_f]. [name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]: [name_f]Greta[/name_f] has a lot of spunk and brightness, but I’m not so sure I’m in love with its sound. A bit harsh for me. However, I’ve always loved the simple, elegant [name_f]Kate[/name_f], and they sound lovely together. Nicknames: [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Rea[/name_f], [name_u]Gray[/name_u]. [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]: This is such a sweet, spunky name! [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is one of the most fashionable unisex names out there. A word of caution: It is top 10 and rising, so if a name becoming too popular concerns you, I might take it off your list. If not, then it’s just about perfect. I really like [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], and I think it captures the elegance of [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] while also being bright and accessible. Nicknames: [name_u]Ari[/name_u], [name_m]Harp[/name_m].
I think they’re all rather nice as they are – nothing at all stands out as ‘bad’.
If I were to change anything, I’d probably swap middles of [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f], as I think they sound nicer as [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] & [name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. Also, I did automatically read [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] as [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and I think of the five, this combos the one I don’t think works as well – [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], or [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Harper[/name_u] would be nice alternatives, or [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] “[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]” [name_u]Harper[/name_u].
Feminine:
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] - simple and pretty ([name_f]Mimi[/name_f], [name_f]Emmie[/name_f], [name_f]Mila[/name_f], [name_f]Milly[/name_f] would all make good nn)
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] - love it - very elegant. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] would also be pretty - or [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]. Nn could be [name_f]Flossie[/name_f], [name_u]Ren[/name_u], [name_f]Effie[/name_f] or [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] - It’s quite nice but the matching endings of [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] throws it off, just a little (not massively though) [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] would be sweet (as would [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]) [name_f]Della[/name_f] or [name_u]Del[/name_u] would make a cute nn.
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f] - it’s nice but I think I’d swap [name_f]Kate[/name_f] for [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f].
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] - [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is sweet. I like the mix of sounds! [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] might also appeal. [name_u]Perry[/name_u] could be a nickname
Masculine:
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] - sturdy and safe - but also the name of an author. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] Aslan or [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Asa[/name_u] would be interesting too
[name_m]Eli[/name_m] [name_m]Jack[/name_m] - feels very modern and fresh
[name_m]Mateo[/name_m] [name_u]Asa[/name_u] - love [name_u]Asa[/name_u]! They work well together. [name_u]Asa[/name_u] [name_m]Mateo[/name_m] would be nice too
Aslan [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] -Aslan is intereting , but not for me. The combo does flow though. Aslan [name_u]James[/name_u] or Aslan [name_m]Jack[/name_m] would also work. [name_u]Asa[/name_u] could be a nn
