Hey all just wondered what you guys thought of these names:
Boys:
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m]
[name_m]Zack[/name_m]
[name_m]Ernest[/name_m]
[name_m]Hector[/name_m]
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
My faves are [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], however we have a surname that is 4 syls long and begins with [name_f]Eller[/name_f]. I think this is fine my oh is not keen!!!
Any more thoughts?
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]- it’s a nice enough name (my SO’s favourite boy name) but it’s just too popular for my liking. If that doesn’t bother you then its a really cute little name
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] - its a nice classic name, I don’t dislike it, its just not to my tastes
[name_m]Zack[/name_m] - as above, I don’t have a problem with it, its just not my style
[name_m]Ernest[/name_m] - I think it’s a little too mature for anyone under the age of 30 to pull off but I do love virtue names and it’s a good virtue to possess [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like the potential nickname of [name_m]Ernie[/name_m] though!
[name_m]Hector[/name_m] - I really like this, its a really strong, masculine name. I also like how its a little bit exotic but still pronounceable
[name_m]Elijah[/name_m] - a classic, love [name_m]Eli[/name_m] as a potential nickname
Fave boys’s names: [name_m]Hector[/name_m] and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
Girls:
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] - there is nothing wrong with the name itself, its just I have an aversion to the name [name_f]Louise[/name_f] because its so common in the UK as a middle name for anyone born in the 80s/90s. It really puts me off any variations
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] - love this name, it is so feminine and vintage yet it has a glamorous modern edge to it. Devastated SO doesn’t like this name
[name_f]Mia[/name_f] - sweet and simple, although I think I’d prefer it as a nickname rather than as a full name (short for [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]) but still a great name
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] - adorable, it’s a name that suits all ages
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] - [name_f]Heavenly[/name_f], brings beautiful & peaceful images to mind
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f] - I used to love this name as a teen, its pretty but also really elegant. However, its just too overused for my liking at the moment. Same with [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - I’ve never been a fan of this name although its slowly growing on me, but as above, its just too common for my liking. It seems like every other little girl has this name at the moment.
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] - very sweet and pretty, I imagine a cheeky little girl with rosy cheeks
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] - A classic name, although perhaps a bit too simple for my liking. I’d recommend [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] as an alternative with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as a nickname.
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] - I adore the name, it just rolls off the tongue so well. Its elegant and slightly exotic but very useable. My only problem with it is that its the name of a crazy character on Hollyoaks so I can’t imagine the name without thinking of her…hate it when programmes do that!
[name_f]Zara[/name_f] - simple and elegant with a bit of oomph, but reminds me of the shop
[name_u]Indiana[/name_u] - not particularly a fan although I do like the nicknames of [name_f]Indie[/name_f] and [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. I think I’d prefer [name_f]India[/name_f]
[name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] - I’m a huge fan of floral names, and [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f] was my favourite Disney princess
