Thoughts on these names?

I never really see these names being discussed anywhere and I was just curious what impressions people had of them. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like them? Why or why not? What kind of vibes do they give you? I’m not considering them for myself, but just curious!

[name_f]Cherie[/name_f]
[name_u]Darby[/name_u]
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f]
[name_f]Jenny[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivana[/name_f]

[name_f]Cherie[/name_f] - not a fan, it’s my aunts last name
[name_u]Darby[/name_u] - kinda cute, but I would use it as a middle name
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f] - prefer it spelled [name_u]Cary[/name_u] and on a boy
[name_f]Jenny[/name_f] - it’s alright, very mom like
[name_f]Ivana[/name_f] - I [name_u]Love[/name_u] it

[name_f]Cherie[/name_f] – Not my personal favorite. I don’t know whether to say it like in [name_u]French[/name_u] or like ‘cherry’.

[name_u]Darby[/name_u] – Cute and fun. I prefer the similar [name_u]Darcy[/name_u], though.

[name_f]Carrie[/name_f] – I really like [name_f]Carrie[/name_f]! Great name and so underused for current babies.

[name_f]Jenny[/name_f] – I like [name_f]Jenny[/name_f]! I think it has a sweet, vintage and retro charm to it and is such a sunny and friendly name.

[name_f]Ivana[/name_f] – Elegant and cool, just doesn’t appeal to me personally. I feel like I have a negative association with the name that I can’t put my finger on.

[name_f]Cherie[/name_f] - I actually do love the look of this name as well as the sounds (in my head I pronounce it Shuh-REE), but being a bit too close to the alcohol [name_f]Sherry[/name_f] or the fruit cherry puts me off.
[name_u]Darby[/name_u] - I don’t hate it, I love the name [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] which it reminds me of, but it also makes me think ofnthe comedian [name_u]Rhys[/name_u] [name_u]Darby[/name_u], and all the characters he plays in shows are decidedly stupid. I’d prefer [name_u]Darcy[/name_u].
[name_f]Carrie[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], even though it’s bit nick-namey, and the name of the main Sex and the City character.
[name_f]Jenny[/name_f] - I like it. Does make me think of [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] Gump a little. But generally a nice name that I’d be happy to use.
[name_f]Ivana[/name_f] - not a fan. It makes me think of [name_f]Ivanka[/name_f] Trump. [name_u]Or[/name_u] a disney villain?

[name_f]Cherie[/name_f] - pretty cute, like it as a nn to [name_f]Cherith[/name_f]

[name_u]Darby[/name_u] - cool and funky - does remind me of horse racing though

[name_f]Carrie[/name_f] - it’s okay, I just prefer other similar ones that have more sparkle?

[name_f]Jenny[/name_f] - a bit bland, the name of some many women aged 40-60 where I am

[name_f]Ivana[/name_f] - sharp and cool, but reminds me Trump - could get over that if I met one though

[name_f]Cherie[/name_f] - I don’t love it. If it sounds like “cherry” then I prefer that spelling, and if it sounds like the [name_u]French[/name_u] ‘cherie’ then to me it feels a little tacky

[name_u]Darby[/name_u] - The sound isn’t bad! It’s energetic, which I like, but I think I prefer [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] or even [name_f]Barbie[/name_f].

[name_f]Carrie[/name_f] - I think she’s really cute!

[name_f]Jenny[/name_f] - Again, not bad, just a bit meh to me. I think it could be a cute retro nickname for a fresher name, but I don’t love it on its own.

[name_f]Ivana[/name_f] - Really like this one! It does also feel a tad dated, but mixed with a femme fatale vibe if that makes any sense? I had a classmate with the name who wore it really well and I always liked hearing it (she mainly went by [name_f]Ivana[/name_f], but also by Ivie!)
