I’m trying to get thoughts on my names but I don’t want to bombard you with all of them at once like I did the other day because it’s a lot. So I’m going to do some threads like this over the next little bit.
I…may not be the best person to comment on these names since they are so far off my style that I have a hard time conceptualizing them on girls, but I will try my best…

I would say [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f] or [name_f]Corliss[/name_f] would be my preferred from this list. Least favorites are [name_m]Garland[/name_m] and [name_m]Satchel[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
Most approachable/girl next door…probably [name_f]Corliss[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
Coppell
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Kestrel[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
I would remove [name_m]Garland[/name_m] and [name_m]Satchel[/name_m] because they are such strong word names that they are off putting to me. [name_m]Taurus[/name_m] I would remove since it is a zodiac sign and because I would think the child was a boy (though nearly all the names on the list make me think boy [name_f][/name_f] ). Dearness I would remove since it is an awkward word to me without even considering it a name and it falls in the category of pet name like calling your spouse ‘hun’ and to me it is awkward as a given name. I would keep [name_f]Corliss[/name_f] because it is the most imaginable on a girl for me and [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f] as I love birds and I view it as a usable name on a girl.
Interesting names, I’ve not heard many of them before!
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite is [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f] I love [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f] so much. I’ll be honest and say I’m not a huge fan of the others. I like [name_m]Garland[/name_m] but I prefer it for a boy. I think I’d personally use most of these on a boy rather than a girl (I don’t love unisex names though so take my opinion with a grain of salt!)

[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
I’m not sure if I’d describe any of them as approachable/girl next door type names. I suppose Dearness is probably the closest but in a literal way. These names feel more quirky and out-there to me
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
I think they’re all pretty spunky. I would choose [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f], [name_m]Garland[/name_m] or [name_m]Taurus[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
I would choose [name_m]Garland[/name_m] for modern cowgirl vibes
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]
I would keep [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f] and [name_m]Garland[/name_m]. The others aren’t really my thing (sorry!)
What are your favorite and least favorite on this list and why?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites:
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Corliss[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- light, breezy and cool, but with a toughness about it too
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Satchel[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- rugged but stylish
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Kestrel[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- free-spirited and earthy
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] least favourites:
[name_f][/name_f]
Bacall → reminds me of bacon
[name_f][/name_f]
Bessinger → I find it a bit harsh, something aggressive about it?
[name_f][/name_f]
Dearness → a tiny but [name_f][/name_f]- twee? but I could see it in the middle.
[name_f][/name_f]
Which of these feels the most approachable/girl next door?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Corliss[/name_f] for its sweet, breezy feel and [name_m]Garland[/name_m] because it has a hint of the floral and evokes Judy-Garland-as-Dorothy
[name_f][/name_f]
Which of these feels the spunkiest?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Satchel[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- sassy and rugged [name_f][/name_f]Tisdale [name_f][/name_f]- zippy in sound
[name_f][/name_f]
Which of these feels the most modern cowgirl?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_m]Taurus[/name_m], [name_m]Satchel[/name_m], [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f] and [name_f]Corliss[/name_f]
Favourites: [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Corliss[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]- unusual, positive meaning. (Imagery: blossom petals in the wind, but I can see her as your cowgirl too!) [name_f][/name_f]Bacall [name_f][/name_f]- I like the gender neutrality, the Old Hollywood glamour vibe.
[name_f][/name_f]
Maybe [name_m]Garland[/name_m] has the most warm, familiar vibe.
[name_f][/name_f]
I think [name_m]Satchel[/name_m] is the spunkiest.
[name_f][/name_f]
Bacall again for most modern cowgirl feeling.
[name_f][/name_f]
I’d keep Bacall, [name_f]Corliss[/name_f], [name_m]Satchel[/name_m] & [name_f]Kestrel[/name_f], for names I like and can see working well. I’d remove Dearness, because it’s so wordy that my brain can’t put it into the context of a person’s name. The same with [name_m]Taurus[/name_m].
