There are a handful of names for girls that I really like, and I’d love to hear your feedback if you don’t mind.

[name_u]Kai[/name_u] – soft yet strong plus has cool imagery

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] – soft and regal sounding, i haven’t liked it in the past but its been growing on me lately

[name_f]Olive[/name_f] (Nickname Liv?) – [name_f]Olive[/name_f] is on my short list! Shes so amazing and i [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Liv[/name_f] or [name_f]Livvie[/name_f] as a nn

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] – i know a lot of Lily’s unfortunately but i think its a lovely name

[name_u]Hazel[/name_u] – one of my all time favorites!!

[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] – [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] is soft and magical (is it pronounced the same as Isla?)

[name_u]Willow[/name_u] – willow is enchanting lovely imagery as well!

[name_f]Maren[/name_f] – i forgot how cool [name_f]Maren[/name_f] is until now!

[name_u]Romy[/name_u] – romantic yet funky sounding, shes pretty cool

[name_u]Piper[/name_u] – con: i know quite a few, pro: the name is so fun and happy!! Havent met a [name_u]Piper[/name_u] yet who hasnt lived up to their gorgeous name

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] ‘Rori’ - [name_u]Rori[/name_u] is super cute, but I don’t personally love the sound of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]. Maybe because I knew so many kids growing up who couldn’t pronounce their “R” sounds until they were 6 or so

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - Not my style but I get the appeal, it’s a sleek and classic choice!

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] - Fun! A little different and retro, I like her.

[name_u]Kai[/name_u] - I don’t like it on a girl, I prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f].

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] - A cute choice! And I adore the idea of [name_f]Sunday[/name_f] nicknamed [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] even more

[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] - Sadly, someone mentioned once that it sounded like poopy and I’ve been unable to umhear it But I get why people find her sweet!

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] - Not bad by any means, just not my style! Something about it feels a little 2000’s to me.

[name_f]Olive[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u]! Such a gentle, vintage choice.

[name_f]Lily[/name_f] - Cute and bright, although I know so many it doesn’t excite me anymore.

[name_u]Hazel[/name_u] - [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite on your list!! It has such a sweet and cozy sound.

[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] - Not my cup of tea; to me it gets lost a bit in the sea of Isla’s, Ava’s and Layla’s.

[name_u]Willow[/name_u] - Another favourite of mine, it sounds so distinctive and warm!

[name_f]Maren[/name_f] - I love Maren’s unique edge and classic feel!

[name_u]Romy[/name_u] - I prefer it as a nickname but it’s still a lovely, spunky choice!

[name_u]Piper[/name_u] - Not my style but I do love the nickname [name_u]Pip[/name_u]

[name_f]Maya[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Maya[/name_f], she’s so cheerful and sunny!

Maybe you’d like [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Summer[/name_f], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], [name_u]Sunny[/name_u], or [name_f]Goldie[/name_f]!

[name_f]Maya[/name_f] feels very summery and bright and [name_u]Willow[/name_u] is peaceful and calming.

[name_f]My[/name_f] least favorites are [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (hard to pronounce for a lot of people), [name_u]Kai[/name_u] (prefer it on a boy), and [name_f]Maren[/name_f] (too similar to [name_f]Karen[/name_f] these days).

@Kittycornperry Thank Thank you so much! I fell in love with the name [name_f]Olive[/name_f] after watching a movie that had a character named that. (This was a recent watch for me!) But the little girl was so cute! [name_f]My[/name_f] grandma also had a friend and neighbor named [name_f]Olive[/name_f] who went by [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]. I thought that was cute when I was younger too!

I also love the idea of just using [name_f]Liv[/name_f] as the full name, but I haven’t found the right middle name for it yet!

@Greyblue Thank you so much! I love your descriptions of these! I pronounce [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] as ay-luh and [name_f]Isla[/name_f] as eye-luh. Now that I think about it, [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] is reminding me of ale. Still a beautiful name, but that sort of bugs me! How did I forget about Juno?? So sweet!

@tallemaja Thank you so much! I think I honestly like [name_u]Rori[/name_u] better than [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] too! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s problematic that I know a male [name_u]Rory[/name_u] (so I prefer the [name_u]Rori[/name_u] spelling, even though I’m not usually into changing spellings at this point in life!) and a friend named [name_f]Lori[/name_f]? Those are my hesitations with using [name_u]Rori[/name_u]!

I also agree that [name_f]Kaia[/name_f] works better for a little girl than [name_u]Kai[/name_u] for a little girl! I LOVE this name and the meaning of “to rejoice” so much! Again, I am hesitant because my closest friend’s husband’s name is [name_u]Kyle[/name_u]. But she has also told me how closely related many of the names within their own family are on his side. Think various iterations of [name_u]Kyle[/name_u]. So I don’t think this one would be the biggest deal. She may think it’s weird at first, and then get used to it. I mentioned it to her once in a different context and she liked it. I wouldn’t name a child [name_f]Kyla[/name_f], even though I like the name. I feel like if I listen to all the hesitancy, I may not get anywhere!

@benton_s_mama Thank you so much! I love those too! As soon as I posted this, I reconsidered including [name_u]Kai[/name_u] because I think I prefer [name_f]Kaia[/name_f]. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] can definitely be a tongue twister and I am really liking the idea of just using [name_u]Rori[/name_u] for a little girl! I think you just nailed the reason I haven’t been able to fully commit to [name_f]Maren[/name_f], even though I think the name is very sweet!
