This is useful feedback… I wonder if [name_u]Leor[/name_u] is a better spelling to avoid it being pronounced Liar

Yes, I definitely would pronounce that differently!

[name_u]Lior[/name_u] [name_u]Fox[/name_u] is such a boujee name to me. Depends on who you are if this is a good thing or not. I like both names individually but I think they need something to ground them.

[name_u]Lior[/name_u] for instance…

Very cool!
I actually know a toddler [name_u]Lior[/name_u] and they’ve had no issues with pronunciation. I would stick with the original spelling

Oh that’s reassuring! I think my friend really likes this combo but her biggest concern is pronunciation. Unfortunately Leor doesn’t work because her husband speaks Dutch and he says this would be said completely differently in Dutch. So its Lior or nothing I guess.

I’ve never encountered [name_u]Lior[/name_u] in real life and because I know someone with the surname Liot that they pronounce LYE-it, I assumed [name_u]Lior[/name_u] was closer to the same as “liar” than NB tells me it actually is, so that’s good! I like the lee-OR pronunciation, it just wasn’t my guess.

As to the combo, this might sound weird but I like how it feels very compact without being nicknamey at any point. The vibe I get is very name-nerd in the sense that both names are unusual and I assume some research went into the decision here (I may be wrong though). It works fine rhythm-wise for me. If I’m thinking hard about it I feel like I can more easily picture an adult named [name_u]Lior[/name_u] than a child, but that may just be an unfamiliarity issue.

I like [name_u]Lior[/name_u] [name_u]Fox[/name_u], it’s a great combo.

There are two little boys called [name_u]Lior[/name_u] in my husband’s family, one of them is his nephew. He’s my first association with the name.
[name_u]Lior[/name_u] is light and playful without being childish, it’s a name that ages very well. [name_u]Fox[/name_u] adds a nice touch to it, it has more punch and feels a bit more spunky.
