Names like [name_u]Max[/name_u], [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] are not uncommon for girls. In fact [name_m]Mark[/name_m] Zuckerberg and his wife [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] [name_u]Chan[/name_u] have a daughter named [name_u]Max[/name_u].
So what are everyones opinions on the name [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] or Maximiliane for a girl? I saw a girl called Maximiliane on youtube and thought it was an interesting name!
Honestly I don’t like [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] on either gender. I think it sounds like an emperor and not one of those nice ones.
Maximiliane is gorgeous, although it is a whole lot of name. I love [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] too. I don’t like [name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] on a girl at all though. It seems really unnecessary with options like Maximiliane, [name_f]Maxine[/name_f], [name_f]Maxima[/name_f], Maxellende, Maximine and so on.
I love [name_u]Max[/name_u] names on all genders, I think they’re so spunky, they make me think of those spiky haired cartoon characters, I prefer Maximilienne/[name_m]Maximilian[/name_m] to other spellings, I also think the contrast of that long, grand name compared to short, sharp [name_u]Max[/name_u] gives a lot of dimension, plus the other nickname options for that long name, ooft!

@scholastica Yes! I also love how spunky [name_u]Max[/name_u] is and love how it contrasts and sets off longer versions. I’m definitely a fan of long names and short sharp nicknames.
[name_u]Max[/name_u] is cute on a boy or girl! It reminds me of [name_u]Max[/name_u] from Stranger Things. I like [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] too. I’ve never heard of Maximiliane but it’s kinda cool sounding.
Personally, I’m not a fan. [name_f]Maxine[/name_f] is really sweet, and [name_u]Maxie[/name_u] is cute. I like [name_u]Max[/name_u] but as a nickname for a girl.
I could possibly get used to the idea of [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] on a girl though (didn’t a celebrity do that?)
I like just [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m].
