I was watching Teen Mom 2 last night and one of the ‘teen dads’ had a friend with a baby boy named Moxon (prn. Mox-in). What are your thoughts on the name?

I personally don’t like it…it reminds me of a soda called [name_f]Moxie[/name_f], which I don’t think is very good. I also think the name has major teasing potential with it being so close to “moron”.

EDIT: I re-watched that particular part, and the baby’s name is definitely Moxon, not Maxon.

Eesh. It’s bad, in my opinion. Made me thinking of “toxin” right away. It kinda looks like a cleaning product name to me, or a medical brand name (e.g. Xanax, Vicodin).

I’m pretty sure that it was [name_m]Maxon[/name_m], not Moxon, and I hope I’m right. Moxon is rather dreadful. [name_m]Maxon[/name_m] is much better [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

Actually it is [name_m]Maxon[/name_m] which sounds quite clever. You may want to do a Google Search, but I am pretty sure [name_m]Maxon[/name_m]'s Dad is the same one who had a child with [name_f]Kailyn[/name_f] named [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u].

@prairiekeeper: I watched that part on episode again and the baby’s name is Moxon. The baby’s father was [name_m]Adam[/name_m]'s friend’s son, not [name_m]Adam[/name_m]'s. And [name_m]Adam[/name_m] had a little girl named [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] with [name_u]Chelsea[/name_u], not [name_f]Kailyn[/name_f]. [name_f]Kailyn[/name_f] had a son named [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] with [name_u]Jo[/name_u], then married [name_m]Javi[/name_m] and had son [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m].

Moxon…Reminds me of amoxicillin. (And autocorrect does want to make it moron!)

I don’t like [name_m]Maxon[/name_m] either. [name_m]Macsen[/name_m] is so much better!

I actually know a Moxon, and he was quite popular in high school. So I don’t think bullying is a problem because I didn’t associate the name with anything either.

Moxon reminds me of a pharmaceutical. I prefer [name_m]Macsen[/name_m].

I read “moron” the first time.

Immediately thought of toxin, or noxious. Definitely don’t like it.
