I think we are officially decided on names for our team green baby due in a few weeks! The girl name is [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] I would love to hear your thoughts!!
Is it [name_m]Ad[/name_m] eh line or ad eh lyn. I prefer [name_m]Ad[/name_m] eh lyn. The [name_f]Ada[/name_f]- spelling makes me want to say Ada-line/lyn and not [name_m]Ad[/name_m] eh line/lyn. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is gorgeous. I prefer the spelling [name_f]Addelyn[/name_f]
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f] is so pretty! Are you pronouncing it differently from [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]? If not, I personally prefer that spelling, since it’s more popular & so what people would default to, but either way a lovely name! I don’t love [name_f]Ann[/name_f] as a middle, if I’m being honest. It’s just [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] without the “deli” so it feels a little weird, especially since [name_f]Ann[/name_f] or [name_f]Annie[/name_f] could already be a nickname for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].
I think it would be hard to pronounce if your using her middle name to scold her, but its cute.
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is pretty! Sweet, stylish but solid too
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is cute. Maybe it would flow a bit more if [name_f]Ann[/name_f] would be [name_f]Annette[/name_f], but I like it anyway.
How are you pronouncing [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]?
I like it! [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] does seem to be the more common spelling but [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] is nice too. Personally I prefer the flow of [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] (same meaning as Ann)
Very pretty!
The only thing that gives me pause is using the spelling [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] is stunning, but I wonder if the spelling would constantly have to be corrected (because at least where I am, [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is the go-to spelling). [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is really sweet! I love alliterative combos!
Also, I must say that your ultrasound pick is adorable! Those little hands and feet
We are pronouncing it Add-a-line
It’s cute but I’d do [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_u]Anne[/name_u]. It looks more elegant to me that way.
We are pronouncing it Add-a-line [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is my middle name and a family middle name. Our older daughter also has AA for her first initials
We are pronouncing it Add-a-line
I think she’ll always have to correct [name_f]Adaline[/name_f].
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] was a top 100 name, [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] is much less common and looks more trendy and less classic.
I’d go with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and it is lovely!
If [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is your middle name stick with the spelling or you could also pick something that includes [name_f]Ann[/name_f] like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f].
It’s pretty!
I do think with middle name Ann… [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] comes off more instinctual for me to say. Also just be prepared for this being a name that others just default to one or the other. [name_m]Just[/name_m] yesterday I was on a moms fb group and someone asked for middle name ideas and when I asked how they were pronouncing it they said line as well and people started commenting “oh I assumed the other way….” I do think with your spelling maybe more will say line because it makes me think of [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]. But you never know…. With the line ending I’m not so sure it’s my favorite combo but [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is trendy atm and [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is a classic middle so it works.
I like the [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] spelling but we found an [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] in our family tree and decided to use that spelling. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband really wanted a family connection to the name we chose
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is the same pronunciation for the spelling. I think. [name_f]Adaline[/name_f] is Ay da line to me
You could use a family name for the middle name
