Thoughts on Vanessa?

Is it too old? overdone / boring? How do you like Vanessa Diana? Possible nn’s?

I don’t think it’s too old

It has a nice meaning and sound!

[name_f]Nessie[/name_f], [name_f]Nessa[/name_f], [name_f]Essie[/name_f], [name_f]Vana[/name_f], [name_f]Veda[/name_f], [name_f]Vanna[/name_f] as nicknames! or maybe even something like [name_f]Butterfly[/name_f] as a cute home nn

I know and/or know of only three people with this name (one who is my moms age, one my age, and one a toddler). I don’t think it’s overdone or boring at all! I love [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] :butterfly: and think it should be used way more.

I think [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is a stunning combo! Nickname ideas would be:
Ness
[name_f]Nessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Nessie[/name_f]
[name_f]Vanna[/name_f]
V / Vee
[name_m]Vance[/name_m] / Vancy
[name_u]Van[/name_u] / [name_u]Vanny[/name_u]
[name_f]Annie[/name_f]

Could “V” be a potential nn? Is it odd that [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is a type of butterfly (supposedly)?

[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] is beautiful :crescent_moon::sparkles: and I love the meaning :butterfly: Ness is my favourite nickname :white_heart:

Pretty💜it’s a family name

I like the name and I think names with “v” sounds are having a moment. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite nn would be [name_f]Nessa[/name_f]

I didn’t know that, but it would irritate me a little (but not too much, since Diana doesn’t mean butterfly)

V could work  or Vee

I love [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]! Definitely not overdone or boring. I think it’s actually quite underrated nowadays. V makes an intuitive nickname.

Oooh, I really like [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]. Never met one in person, I think of [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] Hudgens. [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] is pretty, but it sounds a bit repetitive with sounds. I don’t think it’s boring!

It’s a bright, happy, solid name - I don’t love absolutely it -,including because of the nickname options - but it’s definitely a strong choice. I prefer [name_f]Valerie[/name_f] or [name_f]Valeria[/name_f] for another confident V name.

I had a lovely cousin named [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] sounds really pretty.
