I’d really like to gather an opinion on the name [name]Violetta[/name] for a little girl. I love the tone and feel and meaning of the name, but I don’t think the first two will be the same for everyone.
Also, any suggestions for middle names would be appreciated. The surname is lucky enough to go with pretty much anything.
[name]Hi[/name]! I absolutely [name]ADORE[/name] [name]Violetta[/name]. It’s so cute, but it will age well too I think. Also it has so many nickname possibilities: [name]Vi[/name], [name]Vivi[/name], [name]Lettie[/name], [name]Etta[/name], [name]Ettie[/name], [name]Ollie[/name], [name]Viola[/name], [name]Violet[/name]
I love it!

I love it! So lush and romantic and a fresh take on [name]Violet[/name]. I agree with the pp that the abundance of nn’s is also a big plus. I love the suggestion of [name]Violetta[/name] [name]Celine[/name]!
We’re not sure on how to pronounce it yet, obviously we’d prefer to use the ‘official’ pn but [name]Violet[/name] -a seems to be a more common pn. I suppose it depends on the flow with the other names.
I love [name]Violetta[/name]! [name]Violet[/name]-ah sounds quite awkward to me–I much prefer vee-oh-let-ta. [name]Violet[/name] is my favorite of the Vio- family, but [name]Violetta[/name] is my second favorite. I wish I could get behind [name]Viola[/name], as I’m a huge fan of Twelfth [name]Night[/name], but honestly, I love the elaborateness of [name]Violetta[/name], it’s quite fun to say! I think it’s a bit too frilly for me to use, but I would love meeting a little [name]Violetta[/name].
It reminds me of the opera.
I like [name]Violetta[/name] [name]Elise[/name], [name]Violetta[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], or [name]Violetta[/name] [name]Skye[/name]. [name]Skye[/name]'s not really my thing, but I keep coming back to [name]Violetta[/name] [name]Skye[/name] for some reason.
I have a daughter we named Violetta Elizabeth, and she is 2 1/2 years old now. We love the name. We have had issues with mispronunciation - even when we tell people it’s Vee-oh-let-a, they will repeat it back as [name_f]Vi[/name_f]-oh-let-a. But we just correct them and it’s fine. We have many many many compliments on how beautiful the name is, and it seems to fit her perfectly.
I really love [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] and always use the Vee- pronunciation. I second [name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] too, but other than that:
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_f]Angeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Violetta[/name_f] [name_f]Odette[/name_f]
