Thinking of calling our [name_u]December[/name_u] baby [name_u]Winter[/name_u] if we have a girl. We already have a little boy called [name_u]Ezra[/name_u].
I like it! Unfortunately, we live in an area that would pronounce it “Winner” without the “t,” which has led hubby to question whether we should use it. But I love the name!
I love Winter. Both middles are equally great with it. Winter Victoria sounds a bit more formal and crisp. Makes me think of a snowy night under the stars. Winter Alice feels whimsical and warm like a cozy chair by the fire.
I have also been thinking of a reference to [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] / [name_u]Winter[/name_u] as a component in my baby’s name (due date [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] Day).
[name_f]My[/name_f] feeling, personally, was [name_u]Winter[/name_u] was too on the nose. I decided i wanted a more subtle nod to the season, considering she has to wear the name year round, and all her life. We decided our ode to the season will be [name_f]Eve[/name_f], due to the [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] connection (haven’t decided on whether this will be in first or middle spot but leaning towards middle).
I personally would keep it to the middle spot. However, I think the name has a very wearable sound, a cute nn in [name_u]Win[/name_u] / [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], and goes exceptionally well with [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] whilst not being matchy. I think you should go for it if it’s the one that feels right.
Of your options, I prefer [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_f]Alice[/name_f].
