[name_f]Hope[/name_f] you all are not getting sick of my posts! I am still struggling to find a name that we like for baby boy #2. We have an [name_m]Ace[/name_m] [name_m]Phillip[/name_m] and can’t seem to find something that speaks to us. I just came across the name [name_m]Zeke[/name_m]. It piqued my interest. What are your thoughts on this name? Cute and different or hillybilly/grandpa? I don’t care for the full name [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] and we tend to like shorter or 1 syllable names. The only one I am really loving is [name_u]Jude[/name_u] but I can’t convince DH on it. Am I liking [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] because I am desperate or is it wearable?
Honestly I see [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] as being a cute little boy, not a grown man =/ I mean you could use [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] and just us the nn [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] and when he gets older he can decide what to call himself.
Of course it’s your decision.
[name_m]Zeke[/name_m] makes me think of some jock bully form a Nickelodeon [name_f]Channel[/name_f] show.
[name_m]Zeke[/name_m] is totally wearable and matches [name_m]Ace[/name_m]'s style perfectly.
While I’m not a big fan of the “nicknames as surnames” trend I will admit that [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] are a “natural” fit for brothers. If you can get your husband on board, go for it!
I love it! [name_m]Both[/name_m] [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] and [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] are lovely. [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] is a great match
I’m kind of in love with [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] right now. I actually like Ezekial as well!
[name_m]Zeke[/name_m] is very wearable!!
I just recently met a 20 something guy named [name_m]Deke[/name_m], which is similar. His formal name was [name_m]Deacon[/name_m].
To me [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] would work wonderfully for a baby, boy, young man, and old man.
It’s like [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], or [name_m]Dex[/name_m]. Or even [name_m]Leo[/name_m].
Not to mention [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] go together so nicely!!
I like [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] but I’d only use it as a NN for [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] or [name_m]Hezekiah[/name_m]. I love [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] and [name_m]Zach[/name_m] but only as nicknames.
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] would be my pick for a one-syllable stand-alone name that’s not short for anything. Or maybe [name_m]Zell[/name_m] or [name_m]Zev[/name_m].
