I’m currently pregnant and for a girl my husband is set on the name [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], I like it but I’m just worried its to odd and she’ll get picked on. What do you guys think?
I love it personally and I honestly don’t think it’s too odd or that a [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] would be too likely to be teased much about her name. It does have some relatively strong associations (Legend of [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] especially), but nothing so strong or negative that it renders the name unusable. Personally, I say if it’s the name, you should go for it!
Its a yes to the name for me.
I don’t think it’s odd at all !
Zelda is easy to spell and pronounce, and with some cute nicknames (Zee, Zellie, Ellie, Zed). I’d love to meet one!
I really like the sharp sounds of [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]! It’s easy to say and has a distinct yet familiar feel
I do find it old fashioned and a little unusual. But also kind of cool. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it? I don’t think she would necessarily be teased for it. If its too odd seeming for you then find a different name you relate to better. Your husband will get over it
I love [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]! It’s such a cool name & gives me great 1920s vibes
I really like [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]. If we have a third daughter it will be high on the list. For reference other names we like are [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_u]George[/name_u] [name_u]Claude[/name_u] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] so I personally don’t see it as weird or far out
I love it! It’s a lot more usable than Griselda or Grizelda.
Zelda’s really fun, fresh, and feisty. Not too weird at all, and I really don’t see it as a target for teasing. If anything the video game connection might add some coolness to it.
I love the 1920s, [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_m]Fitzgerald[/name_m] vibe of this name. It’s such a fantastic, jazzy choice! I don’t see why a child called [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] would be picked on - yes, it’s on the more unusual side but so many children’s names are these days.
