I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] the best. Where did you find [name_f]Edrie[/name_f]? That was my great-grandfather’s sister’s name, and I’ve never been able to figure out where it came from.
I went to college with a girl named [name_f]Edrie[/name_f]. I found it was most popular in the very early 1900’s following the release of the book “[name_f]Edrie[/name_f]'s [name_f]Legacy[/name_f]” written by [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] [name_u]Sheldon[/name_u] in 1892. I love it because it’s unique, vintage and easy to pronounce. Did your family member pronounce it would a long or short e? My fear with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is mainly popularity.
I like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] the best but am a bit confused by the pronunciation. I think it would be more readily recognized if you used the [name_f]Elisa[/name_f] spelling.
I don’t think having all E’s is unusual, my top boys names all start with E haha. I like [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] the best it’s a guilty pleasure name for me, I love it on boys and girls almost equally but I prefer it for a boy just a little bit more so we’re saving it for a son. I love [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] or [name_f]Elle[/name_f] as a nickname.
Definitely [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] for me! I’m really not a fan of [name_u]Elliot[/name_u], even on a boy, and [name_f]Edrie[/name_f] is confusing in terms of pronunciation and feels a little “made up” (I realise it isn’t). It’s OK, I just much prefer the lovely, spunky [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]!
Another vote for [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]! [name_f]Edrie[/name_f] is intriguing and cool but would definitely be mispronounced all the time—I’d consider putting it in the middle name spot.
