Tia?

Is [name]Tia[/name] a pretty name? Please be honest? Would you date or marry someone with this name? Give them a job? Please reply asap as it is of high importance. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m not really a fan of the name. All that comes to mind are the actresses [name]Tia[/name] Carrere and [name]Tia[/name] Mowry.

It is a pretty sounding name and feminine, so those are positives. [name]Just[/name] not my cup of tea. I don’t think that this name, out of some of the others I’ve seen on this site, would preclude a woman from marrying or finding employment. It’s not like you’re naming her [name]Beauregard[/name]-[name]Celestine[/name], Viking Funeral Pyre, or something even more ludicrous. Best of luck though!

I knew a girl [name]Tia[/name] when I was little. I remember being jealous of her name.

Now I think of [name]Tia[/name] and [name]Tamera[/name] (sp?)

I like [name]Tia[/name] but strongly prefer it as a nickname.

I really like [name]Tia[/name]! I’d give her a job and I don’t think it would make her unable to marry.

I don’t choose who I date due to their names, does anyone?

[name]Tia[/name] is aunt is spanish, and then there’s [name]Tia[/name] [name]Maria[/name] (the coffe liqueur).

I would have thought [name]Tia[/name] was the coolest name in the world in the 90s, so I guess it feels a wee bit dated in my head because of [name]Tia[/name] Mowry BUT I think it’s dated in a way that it’s still pretty regardless, similar to the way I feel about [name]Kimberly[/name] or [name]Vanessa[/name] or [name]Renee[/name].

I don’t think a [name]Tia[/name] would be judged poorly by peers or employers or whatnot, seems like she would fit in just fine among all the Mias and Ellas and other short -a names for girls that are so popular right now.

It’s nms, but I do think it’s pretty. I can’t find anything about it that would discourage an employer and I can’t think of many names that would discourage love/dating/marriage.

The coolest girl in my high school (in the 90s) was named [name]Tia[/name]. I think it is pretty and I don’t think it’s too dated. I would definitely go to a doctor named [name]Tia[/name] or hire her at an office. Particularly with the popularity of [name]Mia[/name], [name]Tia[/name] fits right in.

[name]Tia[/name] means ā€œauntā€ in some cultures so I wouldn’t personally use it for a girls first name.

My thoughts exactly. My DH and some in laws speak Spanish and this is said a lot for the aunts. That was what I immediately thought. It does have a pretty sound though.
