Tiggy?

hi! i love the name tiggy, but from what i’ve seen many people here on nb don’t. i just want to know what you think about it.

specifically…

do you like or dislike it?
does it work as a full name?
do you like just tiggy, antigone “tiggy”, or somethingelse “tiggy”?

thank you!!

I like [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f]. I think it could work as a first name, but I wouldn’t use it myself. I like [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] more than [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] ”Tiggy”, but [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] definitley works as a nn for [name_f]Antigone[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f]. I want to like it as a full name, but I do think it’s better as a nickname

[name_f]Antigone[/name_f] works. I also think [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] could work or something like that

I love [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] lately! I really want to like it as a full name, but it’s not something I’d be brave enough to use.
I’m not keen on any name nn [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f], my post about initials is probably the way I’d go.
Definitely works for [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] though (just not my style), a book I’m reading has a Taygete nn [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f]

It’s very cute. I like it but I’m not sure its a name that everyone would like to have if that makes sense. I do prefer it as a nickname. [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] or maybe [name_u]Teagan[/name_u], Tigerlily…

[name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] is cute. Lively and sparky. [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] “Tiggy” is super cute

I really love it! It’s definitely more of a nickname to me, though. I love the ideas of [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] or [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f], and I think [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] could work at a stretch (similar to Tabby/Tibby).

I think it’s makes a cute nickname. I actually really like [name_f]Antigone[/name_f], and like the juxtaposition of the extremely classical [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] and the spunky unusual nickname [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f]. I think it works really well.

It’s cute as a nickname, although I wouldn’t use it as a full name. I love the ideas of [name_f]Antigone[/name_f], [name_u]Teagan[/name_u], or [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f]!

I think it’s too informal as a full name but I adore it as a nickname for [name_f]Antigone[/name_f]!

[name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] is a very fun nickname. I knew a girl named Jiggy, but I prefer [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f]. I don’t think it really works as a full name, to be quite honest.

I personally dislike it, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it— it’s just not my taste.

I do think it works much better as a nickname, and would be lovely for [name_f]Antigone[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f]! I definitely think it works as a full name. However, I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] but it could grow on me. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite full names for [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] are [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] & [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f].

I’m completely obsessed! Such a great name!

Yes, but I don’t think it’s an easy one to pull off. But lots of other more informal nicknames get used as full names, don’t see why this couldn’t be one of them!

I personally prefer just [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f]

[name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] works as a pretty, [name_f]English[/name_f] upper class nickname. I’m sure that the [name_f]English[/name_f] royal family have or had a nanny who was [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] and nicknamed tiggy. @new.romantic

For me [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] could be literally [name_m]Tiger[/name_m], [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f], [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] or [name_u]Antonia[/name_u]

I love tiggy :yellow_heart: works fine as a standalone imo. I prefer just tiggy, but antigone ‘tiggy’ is my favourite alternative option!

I adore Tiggy and I would totally use her for my future daughter as a stand-alone! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I’m not a fan of Antigone though, I prefer Tabitha “Tiggy”.

I’m afraid I’m not a fan of [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f]. It’s what my grandmother used to call “toes,” so it’s personally not for me. That said, [name_u]Teagan[/name_u] nn [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f] could work (Antigone has too much of a tragic past for me to be comfortable recommending the name.)
