Anyone else have a partner that vetoes the best names? Shoot.
I voted [name]Linus[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]. [name]Linus[/name] and [name]Sebastian[/name] are two favorites of mine, as well–I think I generally prefer [name]Sebastian[/name], but I liked your [name]Linus[/name] combo better, so that got my vote. Either way, I think the [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Brown[/name] and [name]William[/name] [name]Shakespeare[/name] connections are pretty cool, respectively.
[name]Linus[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] is superb. The others pale in comparison.
I voted for [name]Linus[/name] [name]Theodore[/name] because they are two of my guilty pleasure names that I know I will never get to use because my husband would never agree. He’s already vetoed [name]Theodore[/name] because “[name]Theo[/name]” reminds him of the Cosby show (not sure why that’s a bad thing?), and our last name starts with an S sound, so [name]Linus[/name] is out. But Oh, how I love those names and the combo!!!
However, a VERY close second (so close that the decision was very difficult) is [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]James[/name]. Two more names I will never get to use. I love the nn Sebi for [name]Sebastian[/name]. These are such great names it was a really difficult decision. I also like [name]Felix[/name] a lot, but [name]Lee[/name] is underwhelming to me. If it’s a family name, though, that would change things for me.
I feel your pain in dealing with your husband. Mine was the same way – always vetoing, never suggesting (except super macho [name]Roman[/name] names like [name]Quintus[/name], [name]Maximus[/name], [name]Octavius[/name], etc., etc.). Sigh, MEN! Boys names are especially difficult, I think. Some ladies on here have great suggestions for dealing with difficult partners, but I forget what they are. [name]One[/name] was to make him think a name was his idea and that way he would like it more. It helps for him to make a list so at least he’s bringing something to the table instead of just saying no all the time. Good luck!
[name]Love[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]James[/name]! [name]Don[/name]'t care for the others, except [name]Felix[/name] lee. [name]Seb[/name] or [name]Bastian[/name] are really nice nicknames.
