To Skye or not to Sky

We’ve picked our boy’s middle name, which has meaning to my husband and I. [name_u]Skye[/name_u] is an actual boy’s name with English/Scottish roots (not why we picked it), but I worry the “e” at the end might be feminine?
The first name we picked is masculine.

Thanks!

For a boy I would use [name_u]Sky[/name_u]. Since the English/Scottish roots aren’t why you picked it, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I think [name_u]Sky[/name_u] would be better for a boy. [name_u]Skye[/name_u] looks very feminine to me. However since it is just a middle name, it’s not that big of a deal. Choose what you like best.

I would say [name_u]Sky[/name_u] is more masculine but I prefer the spelling of [name_u]Skye[/name_u]. For a middle name I wouldn’t say it matters that much so I would do [name_u]Skye[/name_u]. Especially if the first name is masculine I think it’s fine.

I would use [name_u]Sky[/name_u], especially if you’re going for the nature association.

If little girls can have mn [name_u]James[/name_u], little boys can use [name_u]Skye[/name_u] with an “e”. Use the spelling you prefer.

[name_u]True[/name_u], true! Thanks to everyone for weighing in.

I prefer [name_u]Sky[/name_u] for a boy, but [name_u]Skye[/name_u] is great, too!

I know two guys with this name. One is [name_u]Sky[/name_u] and the other is [name_u]Skye[/name_u]. I can honestly see it either way.
