I think it’s a great, less common alternative to [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] (which I adore) but is it too out there? Big sister is [name_f]Cecily[/name_f].

I think [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] is great and not too out there at all!
It’s only one letter different from [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], and has the same ending as [name_m]Josiah[/name_m] and many other Biblical boys’ names. It’s uncommon, but this similarity to more common names prevents it from feeling too “out there” to me.
I think it’s a great choice, and works well with big sister’s name!

I love [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] – [name_m]Sayer[/name_m] [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] is on my long list/GP list! I do prefer [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], though, and I think it works better with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] if you care about that at all.
I think my hang-up with [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] is that it feels almost made-up? Like a twist on [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] and not a real name in its own right, which is obviously ridiculous and not true at all.
It is out-there, but one of those names that feels familiar or “acceptable” even though it’s incredibly unusual.

I like [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] a lot! He feels like a nice blend between names (all the [name_m]Toby[/name_m] variants & -ah names like [name_m]Jonah[/name_m], [name_m]Isaiah[/name_m], etc.), and has a cozy, approachable feel and cute nickname options.
With [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], however, I think [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] might be my preference – they’d be such a cute sibling set.

[name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] is a great name! [name_m]Charming[/name_m], handsome and gentle. It sounds amazing with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f]! [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] is unexpected, but familiar. It’s a nice traditional choice with a twist.

I wouldn’t call it too out there, but rather extremely underused! [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] sound great together.

I love [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] he’s really handsome, cosy, gives autumnal vibe. I think has the same classic unexpected vibe of Cec1ly which is makes the sibling set stylistically really in keeping with each other. [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] also has the gorgeous nickname [name_m]Toby[/name_m] which is just so sweet

I think it’s good. Not too out there, it has a familiar sound and accessible nickname. I prefer it to [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] actually. [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] and [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] would be a cute sibling pair.

I’ve been sitting on this thread for a couple days, waiting to be able to respond. I love the [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] family in theory, I love the meaning and [name_m]Toby[/name_m] or [name_m]Bo[/name_m] are adorable nicknames! [name_f]My[/name_f] largest hesitation is the [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] in the Bible is largely not a great figure… which always makes me hesitate.
I agree that [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] feels a bit different in style to [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], but as I’ve been sitting on this, it’s grown on me more and more! I do agree that [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] or even [name_m]Tobin[/name_m] would fit a little better with [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], but [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] is a super cool name, and I do think [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] and [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m] could definitely work!

I never thought of using Bo as a nickname for Tobias/Tobiah! I love Beau so much but I do like a name that can be shortened. Amazing - thank you.
