I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] are fine together, especially if [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]'s full name is [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]. [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] don’t appeal to me in the same way, but that’s just because I don’t like the name [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] as much as I like [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. If you were looking to stay away from rhyming, but still want spunk, what about [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] called [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]? [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] still share the EE ending but not the SEE ending, so it’s a little less obvious. If you’re not a fan of that though and have your heart set on one of the first two, I think they’d be totally okay, people would just think you have a very clear style of names you like 
My own preference would be to avoid repeating an ending, unless both would be nicknames. Some options you might like:

I think [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is too close sounding but think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] is fine. They have a similar look but honestly sound quite different.
I’ve never thought of [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] as particularly spunky, but that might just he because of it’s popularity around me. [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] on the other hand I do find quite spunky!
I think [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] sound fine with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], I don’t think they sound too close. [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] don’t sound close in pronunciation, but their spelling is slightly similar. I don’t think that’s too much of an issue though.
I would avoid a baby name that ends with -sie sounds because in my opinion it’s too similar to the name [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], however I think if [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]'s real name is [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] that shouldn’t be a problem. I’m not a fan of [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] because of the -sie ending–I think it would be too similar to [name_f]Elsie[/name_f].
If you want to add a little spunk to [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], I suggest you go with the nickname [name_f]Hattie[/name_f]–It’s adorable and [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] goes really well with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] works with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is a bit close. I agree with pp, [name_f]Harriet[/name_f]/[name_f]Hattie[/name_f] very spunky!
I like [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], and [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] and [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is great! I do think [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] are a bit too similar, though.
I don’t think they sound terrible together, but I wouldn’t particularly pair those two. I happen to like [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] & [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] together! Perhaps you could use [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]?
Thanks everyone, I think after spending a good few days saying both [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisey[/name_f] out loud it just doesn’t feel right for me. From what I thought was a short list we now have a long list again, haha. Middle name will most likely be [name_f]Florence[/name_f] (family name) or [name_f]Lucille[/name_f].
