I don’t think it’s too common at all! I think [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is at a perfect spot where everyone has heard of it, but she is unlikely to have another [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] in her classroom or friend group.
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a lovely name!

If you’re in the US, it’s still outside the top 100 so it depends on what you consider too common. If you really like it, it shouldn’t stop you from using it anyway!

I’ve never met a [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]! I’m in the U.S. and it’s pretty rare to encounter Gemmas. Go for it. I love it, personally

While [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is familiar and well-used, I wouldn’t say it feels too popular to use. It’s still got that sparkly gemstone quality [name_f][/name_f]- gentle by spirited. I guess it really just depends on what too common means for you

I looked that particular mn in I see a lot of them with that first name and middle name in social media. I live in United States.

[name_f][/name_f] I think online [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] feels more popular than it actually is in the US because it’s had relatively strong usage in the UK for the past couple decades. [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a very common middle, so it’s believable that [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] would be a common pairing.

ah that’s fair. For what it’s worth, I don’t think that should put you off [name_f][/name_f]- [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a popular middle name but I don’t think it detracts from [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] in any way

Too common is a personal opinion.
[name_f][/name_f]But I don’t think Gemma’s in even the top 100 anywhere [name_f][/name_f]- that doesn’t seem overly common at all to me. You might meet one or two others, but it’s not like there will be three of them in her class. I would not personally worry about it.

[name_f][/name_f]I absolutely love [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] she’s such a golden choice really sweet, fun, has pretty gemstone associations and for me is in this sweet spot as she’s recognisable however not a name that you hardly hear. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] within the UK is number #1962[name_f][/name_f] so definitely rare in my opinion. I find [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] refreshing! [name_f]Grace[/name_f] in the middle spot is beautiful and I love that you get the potential nickname [name_f]Gigi[/name_f]. Great name

I don’t think [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is too common at all! [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is quite common, but I really like the alliterative Gs, (nickname GiGi potentially?).
[name_f][/name_f]If you love [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], you should go for it!

I wouldnt say [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is too common. And personally I like a familiar middle, that way if she decides she wants to stand out a bit she can say she’s [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], but she’ll also blend in by sharing her middle name with friends around her which a lot of kids enjoy.

I think [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is a great name so I’m often suggesting it on here. It’s feels so versatile to me – it could work with traditional, classic, vintage and modern styles. Familiar but not overused. I’ve only met one in recent memory but she was a colleague over 40.
[name_f][/name_f]I’d disregard social media as a measure of popularity and focus on the people in your life. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you know many in your social groups and people you regularly mix with? If there’s only a couple or fewer, then it’s not very common where you live.
[name_f][/name_f]I’d recommend keeping [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as your top choice, and brainstorming a few alternative middle names as back up options to put you at ease.
[name_f][/name_f]It’s really normal to continue thinking about names after you’ve made your decision. It’s also normal to focus more on the negatives than positives. So be reassured that you’ve made a great choice.

I’m in the US and have met one or two [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]! I love that name. Definitely not too common here!
