Too matchy matchy?

are alena and eliza too close for sisters?

I don’t think so. [name_u]Allie[/name_u] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] nn might get tricky, though.

I think they are, unfortunately

I don’t think so !! [name_f]Alena[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] sound different to me

Uh-lee-nuh vs . Ee- Lie- ZUH

yes, too similar for me.

If you’re pronouncing them as “uh-LAY-nuh” / “uh-LEE-nuh” and “ih-LYE-zuh” …then yes.

So long as you don’t call them [name_u]Allie[/name_u] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], I think it’s fine

Not at all. I think the Z in [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] makes it clearly distinct from [name_f]Alena[/name_f]. As someone else mentioned [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_u]Allie[/name_u] could get tricky but you can always use alternative nicknames such as [name_f]Lena[/name_f], [name_u]Lenny[/name_u], [name_f]Lizzy[/name_f] and [name_f]Liza[/name_f]

I’ve known siblings with names way closer than this I know two families which have daughters named [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. It doesn’t seem to cause too much trouble.

I think they are too similar.
