Too much of a stretch?

Is [name_m]Cas[/name_m] too much of a stretch as a nickname for [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]?

It’s a little stretchy but works, in my opinion!

i agree that it is stretchy, but i think it’s adorable, and kind of brilliant! another option for atticus is “kit”

Works for me. Nicknames can stretch pretty far.

Its fine but I don’t see the connection :joy:

Cus to [name_m]Cas[/name_m] doesn’t seem too stretchy to me. Though pronounced differently, I think they’re similar enough to get away with [name_m]Cas[/name_m] as a nn!

Works for me

I don’t think it’s a far stretch ! I like it a lot actually

I think it works! A stretch, but still good.

I’m honestly not even seeing it as stretchy! Maybe it’s based on accent? I pronounce [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] as “aa-tih-cess” more than “aa-ti-CUS” so [name_m]Cas[/name_m] sounds very similar to the last syllable. Anyway, it totally works in my book. And I love both [name_m]Cas[/name_m] (although I prefer the [name_u]Cass[/name_u] spelling) and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]!

No

If people can justify [name_u]Kit[/name_u] for [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] then this isn’t too stretchy
