Too Much?

OH has deemed that all middle names of our children must be “epic”. I’m not totally sure of his definition but his favorite middle names for boys are [name_m]Gawain[/name_m], [name_m]Gareth[/name_m], [name_m]Caradoc[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_u]Galen[/name_u]. My fear with the first four is that they all come from Arthurian legend which we both enjoy. He currently won’t budge on using [name_m]Gawain[/name_m], [name_m]Gareth[/name_m] and [name_u]Galen[/name_u] for three boys though which is very “G” heavy.
Would anyone truly notice either connection? I feel as though using “G” for all of their middle names would be more obvious than using names of knights.

[name_f]TIA[/name_f]!

I don’t mind theme middle names (mine all so far rhyme with day which is a family tradition) and Arthurian legend is very cool  if it were for first names I would be a little meh… on them

Middles are a good spot to be more adventuress or honor someone. I think it would be ok. What’s most important is that both of you come to agreement.

I was reading ‘[name_m]Orlando[/name_m] Furioso’,which includes old variations of some of the Arthurian names. [name_m]Gawain[/name_m] was also Gauvain, which, in all likelihood, evolved to [name_m]Gavin[/name_m]. There are a number of fantastic names in the text, and it’s available from Amazon for free download to kindle. I also liked Rogero, Troian, and others.

If [name_m]Gawain[/name_m], [name_u]Galen[/name_u] and [name_m]Gareth[/name_m] are all middles, it’s not a big deal. Most people don’t know other people’s middles, and middles are rarely used.

Besides, if you plan only three children, I think it’s cute they have matching middles.

It’s absolutely fine [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. I really don’t like [name_m]Gareth[/name_m] but the others are indeed “epic”.

I think it’s fine. Middles aren’t used very often, and who knows whether you’ll even have three boys?

Thanks for the input!
