Too nicknamey? Gracie Bea

How do you feel about nicknames in the first name spot? In the middle name spot? Both?

I’m thinking about [name_f]Grace[/name_f]/Gracie and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]/Bea… which do you prefer?

  • [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
  • [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f]

Probably depends on the name, but which option(s) do you generally prefer?
  • Full first and middle
  • Nickname first, full middle
  • Full first, nickname middle
  • Nickname first and middle

I usually prefer a full middle, but I don’t mind nickname names as a first! I think both [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] are great!

The only one I think sounds a little odd is [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. The others sound fine to me. I prefer [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] nn [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f].

I’m trying to decide if I like [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f]… I like the way it sounds but I’m getting a bit of a [name_f]Cardi[/name_f] B vibe lol. Not what I’m going for.

While I think [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] is beautiful & sweet, to me personally it seems very nickname. And almost the nickname that just a mother would endearingly give to her daughter, but maybe friends and coworkers wouldn’t always call a [name_f]Grace[/name_f] with the nn [name_f]Gracie[/name_f].

Grace [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] has a beautiful flow and elegance to it! Such a wonderful combination.

I agree sounds like a Spelling B but instead you will be quizzed on grace.

I hadn’t thought of that but that is a good point. :joy:

Hahahaha!

Gracie [name_f]Bea[/name_f] sounds like greasy bee.

Haha!

I like [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] and [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]! Me personally I think [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] sounds a little too wordy, I hear “grace me be”, and the flow seems a tad off, like it’s unfinished. [name_f]Grace[/name_f]/Gracie [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] are super cute and [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] would be a super cute nickname for them!

I think both [name_f]Bea[/name_f] or [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] are beautiful. For the first name, I think you should name her whichever you plan to call her to make it easier for her later. Beautiful choices!

Gracie [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is very cute! I’d probably use [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]

Of your options, I like [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] the best, although [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is super cute and could work well with the right last name, too. I love the name [name_f]Grace[/name_f], but I don’t think [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] has the best flow. It’s a smidge choppy for me.

Gracie [name_f]Bea[/name_f] isn’t too nickname-y, but I prefer the flowof [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] :slightly_smiling_face:

Gracie [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is adorable. It’s a bit nicknamey for my taste, but I still love it. If the options listed it’s the only one I like in terms of flow. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is another option to get to the nickname if a formal full name is important to you.

Personally I think [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] works BUT I do prefer [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] I think the name is just elegant and has a more put together sound rather than [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] which is sweet but lacks formality that I tend to prefer in a name.
