Not expecting twins, just wanted to know! I love both the names [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], and if I were to have two daughters their full names would be [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_u]Gray[/name_u] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], but is [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] too similar for sisters? They have a completely different ending but both start with Au-…
I don’t think they’re the worst together, but they are very matchy.
I do really like both combos though
I think the [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] & [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] are too close (I typically follow Appellation Mountain’s rules). Sharing the initial sound is more of a deal breaker than sharing an ending or a middle.
I think they are a bit close. I can see they are different names but it does look like you are trying to match them. Could you switch one of the middle names to be a first name? That way you are still using the names you like but they aren’t so matchy?
I think they work nicely together and are distinct enough not to get mixed up when yelled up the stairs or across the playground. However, I would definitely assume that you went in for matching names deliberately.
Another thing to bear in mind is whether you are likely to shorten the names, either intentionally or not. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] don’t feel too confusing, but, say, [name_u]Audie[/name_u] and Autie definitely do!
Too close in sight and sound.
