During my daily rummage through [name_m]Irish[/name_m] name lists, thinking I’ve basically seen them all, I came across [name_m]Conran[/name_m]. I instantly took a liking to it, but I wonder if it’s too unheard of? It sort of gives [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] vibes and a bit of a mix of [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_m]Cameron[/name_m], so perhaps it’s more recognisable than I thought? What do we think of [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] and [name_m]Conran[/name_m]?
I think [name_m]Liam[/name_m] or [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] with that as a middle would be lovely! I looked it up and saw it is pronounced “kaan·ruhn”. I like that a lot - I don’t think anyone will know that intuitively.
I know it’s not the same, but what about Conryn, Canron,Canryn on Conron. They’re similar and more easily pronounced.
I think in Australia the pronunciation is pretty intuitive with the original spelling . [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] also already exist and have middle names hahaha. Otherwise it could have been a cool idea.
[name_m]Conran[/name_m] is lovely and can easily blend in with the current naming styles
I also like the fact that he’s very unheard of which makes him unique but still easy to go by in the day-to-day life
[name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] & [name_m]Conran[/name_m] make a gorgeous brother set
[name_m]Conran[/name_m] is lovely and feels very familiar due to similarities with [name_m]Cameron[/name_m], [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] & [name_m]Connor[/name_m]. I think people maybe assume his name is [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] but this isn’t a huge issue. I love how [name_m]Conran[/name_m] sounds with his brothers too.
Oooh, [name_m]Conran[/name_m] is really cool!! It feels familiar with a touch of flair - slightly rugged but gentle too.
[name_m]Conran[/name_m] is a handsome name! I don’t think it’s at all weird, it contains familiar sounds and I don’t think anyone would find it odd or struggle to say it! I think it’s fantastic with [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m].
[name_m]Conrad[/name_m] is handsome
I really like [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], it’s just not [name_m]Irish[/name_m] enough
I’ve never heard of Conran and I suspect very few will. I think it will be met with some questions even with those familiar sounds. But it’s unusal in a soft or familar way as opposed to unusual in a bizarre or obvious way.
I like Conran with your sons’ names. It feels vaguely Gaelic even though I haven’t heard of it until now, and I think having Liam especially in the mix helps clarify that.
I think there’s a good chance it’ll be shortened to Con, or possible Connie, particularly because it’s an unusal name. It might also be misheard as Connor or Conrad. Just something to keep in mind, but you probably deal with some of that already with Rafferty.
Oooo. I didn’t understand at first that [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] are brothers. And if Australians know how to pronounce it, then yes, all go together!
