Congratulations!!
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f] – I think [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] is sweet, lively, and fresh! I also like [name_f]Elle[/name_f] a lot, it’s sleek and stylish. I almost think [name_f]Elle[/name_f] nn [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] makes more sense in my mind than vice versa, but either way certainly works.
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] – I really like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] for a girl. Cool, current, and fits any personality. [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] isn’t my style but it’s a nice feminine nickname option.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Lu[/name_u] – [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is great! And I adore [name_u]Lu[/name_u], too. [name_m]Charming[/name_m] and classic yet not boring. And I love the balance that both [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] and [name_u]Lu[/name_u] have of being simultaneously sweet and sassy.
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] nn Ru – I love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! I like Ru as an occasional nickname but between the [name_u]Rue[/name_u] in the Hunger Games and [name_f]Euphoria[/name_f] it is starting to feel a little too “teenage fandom” esque for me unfortunately.
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] – Elegant, fun, and fits any personality. Familiar yet exciting, it’s sparkly and sweet.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] nn [name_f]Vi[/name_f] – I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_f]Vi[/name_f] is a sweet nickname, although it looks a little incomplete written down. I assume it’s pronounced “vye” like the first syllable of [name_f]Violet[/name_f], rather than like the letter V? [name_f]Violet[/name_f] in full is nice and floral with lovely purple imagery.
Overall, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of your choices!

[name_f]Elsie[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (my sister is a [name_f]Violet[/name_f] nn [name_f]Vi[/name_f], too) are my favorites—with their specified nicknames! I think those are all very warm and welcoming names. Classics! And a lot of brightness in each.

[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f] ~ vintagey and sweet with a sleek, grown up nickname
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] ~ okay I’m not a surname person but [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] makes it!
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Lu[/name_u] ~ no strong feelings, [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is timeless but I don’t love it
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] nn Ru ~ again no strong feelings about [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], I really like Ru/Rue though! Effortlessly cool!
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] ~ sparkly and friendly
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] nn [name_f]Vi[/name_f] ~ adore [name_f]Violet[/name_f], so charming and floral without being cutesy. I also love [name_f]Letty[/name_f] and [name_m]Villy[/name_m] for nns
If I had to make a combo I’d pick [name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f]

[name_f]My[/name_f] thoughts on your names
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] ~ sweet vintage choice that feels fashionable and very much in keeping with the vintage nicknames that people love nowadays like [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] + [name_u]Bertie[/name_u]. Like this one. I also love [name_f]Elsa[/name_f] and [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f].
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] ~ has an all American girl quality to her feels happy, preppy and modern. I think [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is a fab nickname! [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] wouldn’t be on my radar I think the name works.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] ~ oh gosh I don’t want to rain on your parade however I’ve never liked [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] I just hear the word loose
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] ~ absolutely love Ruby!!! She’s bright, sparkly, has sweet summertime imagery with rubies being the birth stone for [name_u]July[/name_u] and I think feels so spunky gorgeous name.
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] ~ a fashionable celestial name that feels very cool great choice.
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] ~ gorgeous sugary sweet name that has bright floral colour imagery truly gorgeous. Absolutely love [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
I love [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] + [name_f]Violet[/name_f]

I’ll rate out of 10 and comment:
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f] - 8 - sweet, bright and cute but versatile too
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] nn [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] - 6 - love [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], don’t love [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], but it’s not bad
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] nn [name_u]Lu[/name_u] - 9 - gorgeous, bright, strong and literary. Would be on my list if it wasn’t my cousin’s name
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] nn Ru - 8 - bubbly, bright and beautiful but with a bit of spark and kick. Would probably be a middle name option for me, alas, it’s also my cousin’s name!
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] - 8.5 - starry, ethereal and lovely!
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] nn [name_f]Vi[/name_f] - 7 - sharp and sweet

[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]- I like [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] a lot and I like [name_f]Elsi[/name_f] even better. I don’t adore [name_f]Elle[/name_f] as a nickname.
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u]- I don’t like many surname names, but I do like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]! It’s very common, if that’s a drawback.
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Timeless, literary and adorable
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]- my lifelong favorite so obviously I love it
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]- it’s a gorgeous name, but I’ve met so many dogs named [name_f]Stella[/name_f] that it’s lost its shine for me
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]- It seemed like it really had a moment a few years ago, but seems less trendy now? It’s a beautiful name, but the sound similarity to “violent” puts me off a bit

I like Elsie (though for me would be a shortening of Elspeth, Elisabeth, Elsa or Elise), Stella, and Violet the best.
Emerson nn Emmy is pretty though - it’s just not my style (last names for girls). I like Ruby in theory but not on those I’ve met especially those older than 20. It feels breathy and performative on older people (to me!). There’s a lot of love for the very sweet Lucy right now but I find it too “loose” and a bit limp/too cutesy.
Big congrats!

elsie “elle” - 8/10 - super cute! i don’t love -ie or -y nicknames as full names, but it definitely isn’t bad! obviously with these names becoming popular, they’ll been seen as more formal as time goes on. elle is really stylish and so underappreciated!
emerson “emmy” - 2/10 - just such a boy name to me unfortunately!
lucy “lu” - 7/10 - i don’t love lucy (haha) but it’s a classic that you can’t go wrong with. i don’t often see nicknames for lucy, so lu is refreshing! and imagine calling her “lucy lu”
ruby “ru” - 6/10 - i just personally don’t like ruby a whole lot, but there’s nothing wrong with it! ru is adorable, though i’d spell it rue so it looks a little more complete.
stella - 7/10 - feels a little incomplete without a nickname, but i’m not sure what nn would work! stells? star? ella or even elle, maybe? stella is getting so popular unfortunately and rising really fast, so that’s something to keep in mind. but of course it is cute and the meaning is nice!
violet “vi” - 4/10 - violet is boring to me unfortunately. familiar but, for some reason, i don’t see it as classic (though i know its history and it arguably is classic). i also don’t like the nickname vi, i just think it has an unappealing sound. sometimes i see the name as “violent” as well.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] (but I do think [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] is very cute, maybe as a nn for [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Emerald[/name_f], or Clementine?)
