Thanks to you all and your kind judgment and good taste, I have an actual top ten! I know, I know, I’m hardly the first one to have one, and I’m in fact inspired by some lists I’ve read. No, not stealing your combos (I don’t think) but some of the themes and tastes have been really helpful in clarifying my list for me.
Please tell me what you think of these ten girls combos.
We both want to honour our cultures (Gaelic and Jewish respectively) and we both like nature names, and I like old-fashioned names so it’s kind of a weird mix of flavours. I had to struggle to get it down to a top ten and names keep trying to appear and wedge themselves onto the list. Some of these, or some halves are here only because my husband likes them, and I’m willing to humour him. Others I’ve loved forever.
[name]Caitlin[/name], oddly, because I would have said it wasn’t all that “me,” in style, I had a dream about. I’m not 100% about [name]Camellia[/name] with it but I like the idea of a nature name and I like the initials C.C.
Yay! I especially love [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Dove[/name] - gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! And I’m not normally a [name]Caitlin[/name] fan, but it’s really cute with [name]Camellia[/name]!
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Winter[/name] - I don’t love it, but I like the style. For some reason I think [name]Rowen[/name] is more feminine and would suit a girl better. There is also the Rowenne option which according to a girl I know with it spelled this its pronounced just the same.
[name]Tabitha[/name] [name]Branwen[/name]- I don’t like [name]Tabitha[/name], but I love [name]Branwen[/name]
[name]Winter[/name] [name]Rosamund[/name] - Not a big [name]Winter[/name] fan (I don’t tend to like word names). Not my fave combo

[name]Winter[/name] [name]Rosamund[/name] - [name]Winter[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] would make me swoon. I can’t seem to like [name]Rosamund[/name]. I’m really loving [name]Winter[/name] ATM.
[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lilith[/name] - Beautiful. [name]Love[/name] both names and am obsessed with [name]Ivy[/name] right now.
[name]Hazel[/name] [name]Dove[/name] - Very sweet. I’m not sure about [name]Dove[/name], but it’s nice imagery and [name]Hazel[/name] is so lovely.
[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Topaz[/name] - Dislike [name]Topaz[/name]. Very strippery. Anything goes in the middle, though. [name]Annabel[/name] is sweet, but a little blah.
[name]Emerald[/name] [name]Saoirse[/name] - I find [name]Emerald[/name] to be the same as [name]Topaz[/name]. [name]Saoirse[/name] is very nice, though.
[name]Marigold[/name] [name]Keziah[/name] - Cute, but nms.
[name]Kelilah[/name] [name]Niamh[/name] - Dislike [name]Kelilah[/name]. [name]Just[/name] [name]Lila[/name] or [name]Delilah[/name] [name]Niamh[/name] would be nice.
[name]Caitlin[/name] [name]Camellia[/name] - I like this.
My favourite by a mile is [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lilith[/name]. Beautiful.
[i][name]Rowan[/name] [name]Winter[/name] - I love both names separately but I don’t like them together and they also don’t flow as they both have the same amount of syllables. (Sometimes that can work, but most oftenly, it doesn’t.) [name]Tabitha[/name] [name]Branwen[/name] - I adore [name]Tabitha[/name]! It’s going to my name sometime in the near future. It is just perfect. I like [name]Branwen[/name], but not nearly as much as [name]Tabitha[/name]. They flow lovely into each other however. [name]Winter[/name] [name]Rosamund[/name] - This is a breathtaking combination. I don’t have anything ‘bad’ to say about it. [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Lilith[/name] - I adore both names and while they both have two syllables and it does annoy me, it only annoys me slightly and I really like this combination. [name]Hazel[/name] [name]Dove[/name] - I adore [name]Hazel[/name]! [name]Dove[/name] I’m not so fond of, but this is quite a cute yet elegant combination. [name]Annabel[/name] [name]Topaz[/name] - [name]Annabel[/name] is growing on me and [name]Topaz[/name] is gorgeous, although I wouldn’t use it. I love the flow of this combination. [name]Emerald[/name] [name]Saoirse[/name] - I adore both names and this flows lovely [name]Marigold[/name] [name]Keziah[/name] - [name]Marigold[/name] is beautiful! I quite like [name]Keziah[/name] depending on the pronunciation. I don’t think this name has the best flow. [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Aoife[/name] - I don’t like [name]Susannah[/name], but I adore [name]Aoife[/name]. This name is perfect however! [name]Kelilah[/name] [name]Niamh[/name] - I’m not sure of the pronunciation of [name]Kelilah[/name], and whilst it sounds made up, it also sounds quite beautiful. (If it’s pronounced keh-lye-lah?) [name]Niamh[/name] is one of my favourite Irish names and it flows lovely with [name]Kelilah[/name]. [name]Kelilah[/name] isn’t made up, but it isn’t a rhyme with [name]Delilah[/name] either. It’s keh-[name]LEE[/name]-lah. It’s not that its hard to say but it is sort of obscure and I’m wondering if its too unusual to be a first name? I like the way it rolls off my tongue but I think it might trip too many people who aren’t used to it?
I like gemstone names, but not [name]Ruby[/name] or [name]Sapphire[/name] or [name]Diamond[/name].
Is [name]Esmeralda[/name] better than [name]Emerald[/name] for being “more of a name” or is [name]Emerald[/name] better for being more simple and shorter? I like both, but my husband thinks [name]Emerald[/name] will be easier for people and that “we can call her [name]Emmy[/name],” which is cute. Of course, with [name]Esmeralda[/name], we can call her [name]Esme[/name].
I don’t think I’d keep [name]Esmeralda[/name] with [name]Saoirse[/name]. I liked the Irish/[name]Emerald[/name] [name]Isle[/name] connection, but [name]Esmeralda[/name] [name]Saoirse[/name] is a “whole lotta name” if you know what I mean.

I have a hard time coming up with just a top five…girls names are hard : ) My favorite MN out of your list is [name]Camellia[/name] so pretty and feminine! I like your style! The only things about this list I really don’t like are 1) [name]Rowan[/name] on a girl, and 2) [name]Winter[/name] in the first name spot. I think [name]Winter[/name] would make a lovely middle name for a winter baby. I especially like [name]Tabitha[/name] [name]Branwen[/name] and [name]Susannah[/name] [name]Aoife[/name].

I’m really pleased to see a lot of people [name]DON[/name]'T hate [name]Keziah[/name], which I really like. I wasn’t picking it thinking most people would really know what to make of it.
I’m thinking I might adjust [name]Marigold[/name] to [name]Marie[/name] or to [name]Mara[/name]? I absolutely don’t find [name]Marie[/name] interesting as a middle name, where it often seems somewhat tacked on, but I’ve always thought it rather sweet for a first name, without being childish. I never would have been able to use it, previously, as my family would get really wound up about that type of name, but my husband’s grandmother is a [name]Marie[/name] and now I have a “reason” iykwim.
