Traditional and Adventurous at the same time?

Okay, so I have this thing… I really love traditional names like [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_f]Laura[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] etc. but I also feel like they’re expect. Conversely, the names I like for their unexpectedness don’t sound traditional to the ear, though in some instances they are. I have been busily trying to find a solution to this. I love [name_f]Mary[/name_f] for example, but [name_f]Amara[/name_f] has that unexpected feel I like, though [name_f]Amara[/name_f] is modern in sound and I love everything vintage in sound/feel.

So are there any names you feel are perhaps a little bit adventurous/different that keep the bones of familiar names, like [name_f]Claudelle[/name_f] instead of [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] as an example?

Perhaps choosing an international version of a classic would be a good choice for you. I love some of these, e.g. [name_f]Mariel[/name_f] ([name_f]Mary[/name_f]), [name_f]Liesel[/name_f] ([name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]), but there are hundreds of choices!
