Troian?

thoughts and likings on Troian pronounced troy-an? also any middle name suggestions other then [name_f]Annika[/name_f]?

[name_u]Ever[/name_u] since watching Troian Bellisario on Pretty [name_m]Little[/name_m] Liars I’ve developed a liking for the name, as it reminds me of a girl/woman is very strong, smart and out-spoken.

It’s not my style at all but I think Troian [name_f]October[/name_f] sounds surprisingly nice. Also:

Troian [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
Troian [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
Troian [name_f]Josephine[/name_f]
Troian [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
Troian [name_f]Selena[/name_f]

I love Troian Bellisario, but Troian feels like one of those names that is inextricably tied to one person, like Beyoncé or [name_f]Madonna[/name_f].

I never heard of before but I love it.

It’s like the girly version of [name_m]Troy[/name_m] as well, which sounds spunky and original.

I love the options below
Troian [name_f]Frances[/name_f]
Troian [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]
Troian [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
Troian [name_u]Denver[/name_u]
Troian [name_u]Bailey[/name_u]

And

I might put this on my list???

i instantly fell in love with it when i heard Troian, obviosuly from Troian Bellisario! i didn’t know whether it should go with a softer sounding and a bit more feminine middle, i tried Troian [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] before and liked it but wasn’t sure if people may think it’s a boy…

bump… any other middle name options?? any other opinions??

Never having heard of Troian Bellisario, it sounds like a word used to describe the ancient country of [name_m]Troy[/name_m]. It also doesn’t really sound feminine- if I hadn’t seen that this was in the girls’ forum I’d have thought you were asking about it for a boy.

But from the other responses it seems that Troian Bellisario is fairly well-known so you may not have these problems. As to having a name strongly associated with a certain character, I wouldn’t mind personally if it was a character I liked but some people do find that problematic.

I hate negative posts, so I’m sorry in advance. I much prefer to post and read supportive comments. I have to chime in, though, and let you know that troia is common Italian slang meaning slut or whore. It’s an everyday foul curse word in [name_f]Italy[/name_f].

no thank you, cause these are the things i don’t know about!

any other middle name options for Troian? thoughts as well!

All I hear and see is Trojan horse. It is a really strong and bad association. Sorry :frowning:
