Truett?

WDYT of this name? [name]How[/name] usable is it?

I discovered it a few years ago, and it’s been coming back to me quite a bit lately. I have a thing for names that end in the “T” sound ([name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Ayelet[/name], Adalet, [name]Annette[/name], [name]Lisette[/name], [name]Bennett[/name], [name]Everett[/name], [name]Beckett[/name], Truett, [name]Lovett[/name], [name]Abbott[/name], [name]Elliot[/name], etc., are just a few that I love!), but is it usable?

I keep thinking that if it gets shortened, it would be shortened to [name]Tru/name, and that seems pretty girly to me.

[name]Do[/name] you think it goes well as a brother for [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Jack[/name], [name]Avery[/name], [name]Jonas[/name], [name]Holden[/name], [name]Bailey[/name], [name]Grayson[/name], [name]Boone[/name], [name]Everett[/name], [name]Abbott[/name], etc. (my favorites)?

Thanks!

I do think [name]True[/name] & Truett sound a little girly, and a little too much like celebrity baby names. I also prefer it spelled Truitt, and it might be easier to avoid the nickname [name]True[/name] with this spelling. I like all of your others a lot better. I love [name]Everett[/name], [name]Bennett[/name], & [name]Elliot[/name], and I think these would work much, much better with your other favorites, which are pretty masculine. I think Truett would definitely sound girly among your more masculine other favorites like [name]Jack[/name], [name]Caleb[/name], & [name]Holden[/name]. You wouldn’t want people to think Truett was a girl because the other names sound so much more masculine than his.

I grew up with a Truett whose brother was [name]Beau[/name]. I always liked the name!
