I have decided to try out my list with 2 Mns but I am not sure if it is better this way or with1 mn. Let me know what you think and please be honest I can take it
My personal opinion is that three given names are usually overkill. I certainly understand the appeal, especially with boys’ names, because I have so many I love that I’m tempted to cram as many as possible into my combos. But a three-name combination has to be spectacular to make me feel it’s better than a two-name combo. Usually the third name looks and sounds extraneous to me.
My favorites from your list are
[name]Nathan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Joakim[/name], because [name]Joakim[/name] lends sparkle to a combo that would otherwise be, though solid, faintly boring (to my ears);
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Edward[/name] [name]Brooks[/name], because it sounds so distinguished all together (I think the fact that [name]Brooks[/name] can be a surname lends to this one’s “finished” air);
[name]Andrew[/name] [name]Elliot[/name] [name]Clive[/name] (see [name]Nathan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name] [name]Joakim[/name]–[name]Clive[/name] adds that extra sparkle here);
and [name]Leo[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name], because [name]Leo[/name] is short enough to take it.
I don’t think I’d do two middles with the others. [name]One[/name] is enough. And, in my opinion, [name]Dean[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name] is perfection. I wouldn’t do a thing to it. Not that [name]Dean[/name] is my favorite, but I know it’s yours!
Best wishes!
Unfortunately, it feels like you threw a lot of the names together. It’s hard getting three names to work, especially with boys names. There’s a lot of disconnect between the names, imo.
The ones I do like a lot are:
[name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Henry[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] ( I love this, I’ve thought of [name]Henry[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] before, and [name]Joseph[/name] is my SO’s name, so I’m a bit partial.)
[name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Edward[/name] [name]Brooks[/name]
[name]Vincent[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Blaise[/name]
The rest I think they could work with only one middle name ([name]Dean[/name] [name]Philip[/name] or [name]Dean[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name], [name]Dominic[/name] [name]Matthew[/name], [name]Zachary[/name] [name]Simon[/name], [name]Jude[/name] [name]Patrick[/name], [name]Vincent[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] or [name]Vincent[/name] [name]Blaise[/name], [name]Charles[/name] [name]Anthony[/name], [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Joshua[/name], [name]Nathan[/name] [name]Thomas[/name], [name]Andrew[/name] [name]Elliot[/name], [name]Leo[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name])
I agree, sorry, [name]Lindsay[/name]. I do really like [name]Beckett[/name] [name]Joshua[/name], [name]Leo[/name] [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Zachary[/name] [name]Simon[/name], and [name]Dean[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name], but I think the only combo I really love is [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Edward[/name] [name]Brooks[/name].
Thanks ladies! I just don’t think I’m cut out or 2 Mns my ears just can’t hear the difference in the name styles. They all sound the same to me lol
In every one of your combos I only had to read the first 2 names to be impressed. I agree with pp’s and think it is overkill, unless there is a significant reason for adding a 2nd middle.
I still love [name]Dean[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name] - [name]Dean[/name] is not even close to my favourite name on your list but I love that combo!
I don’t know that the style is even the problem, really–I just think your one MN options are great, but the two MN options are just a bit too much and sound like a string of names rather than a combo. I honestly don’t think my combos are a perfect stylistic match, either. To me, though, something like [name]Everett[/name] [name]Joshua[/name] [name]Charles[/name] perfectly ties everything together, but something like [name]Everett[/name] [name]Joshua[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name] is just too much together. That’s why [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Edward[/name] [name]Brooks[/name] works, for me. I think something like [name]Henry[/name] [name]Nicholas[/name] [name]Jude[/name] or [name]Leo[/name] [name]Samuel[/name] [name]Zane[/name] or [name]Sebastian[/name] [name]Vincent[/name] [name]George[/name], etc., would work really well. Something simple and short-and-sweet to balance out all those gorgeous boys’ names.
I guess that is what I just can’t hear is what is just right and what is too much :(. I really can’t see that much of a difference in [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Edward[/name] [name]Brooks[/name] and [name]Zachary[/name] [name]Simon[/name] [name]Xavier[/name]. I guess the names mean so much to me that the cant feel just tacked on LOL 1 mn is just more me
