Tula Carrier - Standard or Toddler?!

I really want to get a [name_f]Tula[/name_f] carrier, but I am having trouble deciding on which size to get! Saela is almost 22lbs, 30.25 inches tall, and 15 months old. I know, I know, go to the website. I’ve already seen what the weights and Heights are for each. The toddler one is supposed to be for toddlers 18 months plus and 32 inches tall. She’s not there yet. But I don’t want to wait to get one. I want to hear from you moms that already own them for your toddler!

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe an infant carrier with the room to grow extender? That way you can use it now, and add the extender when she outgrows the carrier as is?

I would get the toddler. I know on the ergo, for instance, you can use a baby blanket balled up at the bottom of it instead of buying the additional infant insert. Would something like that work for her on the tula? Since it would just be a short time she would be too small for it.

I don’t own a toddler [name_f]Tula[/name_f], but I tried one out recently for my 23-lb, 31inch babe, and it was HUGE. The infant one fit and looked like it would for awhile. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have a local babywearing group that has a lending library?

The standard is good to 45 lbs! I’ve kinda drank the [name_f]Tula[/name_f] koolaid. [name_m]Trust[/name_m] me. The Toddler is HUGE! Like need to be wearing 3T pants huge!

You can’t use a rolled up blanket on the toddler Tulas.

I can’t upload a picture right now but my 28lb 31.5 inches 13 months old kiddo fits in a standard [name_f]Tula[/name_f] with room to spare!

Sorry for the posting crazy. This is not my pic… [name_m]Just[/name_m] from a quick google search. [name_u]Baby[/name_u] needs to be in AT LEAST 2T pants and even then they’ll probably be swimming in it. I’d say closer to 3T pants (for length btw, not weight). I’ve seen people put 4/5 year olds in a toddler and 2/3 year olds in a standard.

Thank you for posting! I had posted on facebook and gotten some insight from friends. One of my other momma friends had a standard [name_f]Tula[/name_f], and said that my daughter should fit in it just fine. I ordered the standard! I have heard so many great things about it.

Ergonomic Baby Carriers | Baby Tula US I ordered this one! I have never worn her before, but she does not like to be put down and loves for me to hold her. My arm/shoulder can’t take it anymore. I think she is going to love it! Also, with my active 5 year old, we are all over the place and want to go a lot of places that can’t take a stroller. Thanks for the responses! :slight_smile:
