My due date is [name]March[/name] 2013. We still have a long way to go yet, but I’m already obsessing about names. Boys names are super easy so I’m not really interested in discussing them, but girls, not so much. For a girl we’re thinking Temperence. Yes, with an E instead of an A. My DH likes it that way better. Maybe Temperence [name]Elizabeth[/name] (that’s a lot of name!) or Temperence [name]Adell[/name]. We’d like to use a family name in the middle and those are the only two that are sticking out to us. The thing is I’m pretty likely to have twins. We won’t find out how many buns are in the oven for a couple more weeks, but I’m already thinking what in the world would we name Temperence’s twin if we had girls. lol I know pretty silly to stress about something that may not even happen, but hormones and all. Anywho, Temperence is a lot of name. I would want something equally heavy if that makes any sense. I love the vintage quality of it and it’s not too frilly and like the meaning. Moderation is going to be important for this little one who is very likely to be a Pisces. If I had it my way I’d name twin B [name]Harriet[/name], but unfortunately our last name rhymes with anus and I can just see [name]Harriet[/name] being ridiculed. So I guess my question is, what would you name Temperence’s twin sister?
The first name that came to mind was [name]Coralie[/name] or [name]Cordelia[/name]. [name]Just[/name] a [name]Cor[/name] name. I think Temperence [name]Adell[/name] and [name]Cordelia[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Coralie[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Other names I like for the twin set
[name]Felicity[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
sorry this was the only other one I could come up with.
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Felicity[/name] and that would definitely be Twin B’s name if only DH felt the same way. I do like [name]Coralie[/name], but I don’t think it’s quite “it”. Thank you for your reply!
Some names I thought of to go with Temperence are:
[name]Seraphina[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Adelaide[/name]
[name]Antonia[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Jessamine[/name]
[name]Magnolia[/name]
Also, this may be just because I’m a spelling nerd, but it bothers me quite a lot that Temperence is misspelled. I know that most people probably won’t notice, or it won’t be an issue for them, but have you considered spelling it with an “a”?
Belladonna
[name]Zelda[/name]
Pastora
[name]Octavia[/name]
[name]Valencia[/name]
[name]Pacifica[/name]
[name]Lilibeth[/name]
[name]Acacia[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]
you like any of these?
Changing the spelling of a virtue/word name is very odd to me. It’s not exactly like “[name]Catie[/name] with a C”-- [name]Temperance[/name] is an actual word! Please reconsider.
I agree with r_j on creative spellings of word names…they just look like misspellings. Temperence with an e is kind of like naming someone Happyness or Chairity. She’ll constantly be correcting people.
