Twin girls

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] I’m due any day with twin daughters and still don’t have names decided on. My husband chose the name [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. It was his only suggestion and he’s stuck on it so… Now I need to decide on my second daughters name. I like names with cute nicknames ([name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], etc) but that isn’t mandatory. I like the name [name_f]Althea[/name_f] (nn thea) or rosalie (nn rosie) also it should go well with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] (nn izzy or belle) as we will probably be saying their names together. I don’t like rhymey or overly matchy twin names though. I like old fashiony names. Not too fond of names with made up spellings. Dont like overly popular names. Anyways would appreciate your suggestions or any thoughts on the names [name_f]Althea[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. Thanks in advance for your help.

I like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]! [name_f]Rosy[/name_f] and [name_f]Izzie[/name_f] is cute, or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Belle[/name_f]… though maybe that’s a bit too Beauty and the Beast? I like it, anyway.

I agree with the previous poster. I adore [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] as sisters, especially if you pronounce [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] ROZZ-a-lee instead of [name_f]ROSE[/name_f]-a-lee. As nicknames I would go for [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Sable[/name_f].

Alternatively, what do you think of [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]? It’s a classic and a little less sweetly than [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].

I like both [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] and [name_f]Althea[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] sound cute with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. I think the nns [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] are cute but I also like [name_u]Izzy[/name_u] and [name_f]Ally[/name_f] together. At first when I saw [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] together I thought of Twilight, but if you’re not planning on using [name_f]Bella[/name_f] as a nn then I don’t think it would be a big deal. Either way you go their names will sound beautiful together.

They both go beautifull with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. I would maybe lean toward [name_f]Thea[/name_f]…BUT I like [name_f]Rosy[/name_f] too. I like the nn better than the full names!

[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] is a good choice…

I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f].

Also [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] sounds nice with traditional name [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], or [name_f]Adalaide[/name_f]. nn [name_f]Addy[/name_f] or [name_f]Ada[/name_f].

Agree fully with the first poster

I really like [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. Either spelling of [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f], I think you could actually use the nickname [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. Maybe not the most common nickname for [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] but I don’t think it’s weird. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] or [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] both sound really good together.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]. [name_f]Althea[/name_f] feels a bit too stiff and uncommon next to [name_f]Isabel[/name_f].

Good luck.

I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] better than [name_f]Althea[/name_f] with [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]. Some other possibilities:

[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Coraline[/name_f]/[name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Marina[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Pamela[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_f]Theresa[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabel[/name_f] and [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
