[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone, so I’m in the planning stages of a book set in modern day UK. Although it is modern-day, the parents of the main family are academics, and quite old fashioned, so names should be quirky, unusual, but with history if possible.
There are four daughters, the eldest named [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], and the second is the narrator who is not really named, but there are twin girls next, who do need naming. The twins are non-identical, so I’d like their names to be distinct, and not themed or initial matched, but obviously they need to fit stylistically.
Names I like, and I think fit are:
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]/ [name_f]Alys[/name_f]
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f]
[name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
I like these, but I’m not sold on any of them as I like my characters to have uncommon names that aren’t associated with anyone else, either real or in another book. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
